FAITH Dingle plots to get her ex Zak smiling again in Emmerdale this week - but her plan takes an unexpected turn when they end up locking lips.
Concerned about Zak’s low mood since losing his wife Lisa back in May, Faith takes it upon herself to put a smile back on his face and tries cheering him up by reminiscing about the past.
It’s not long before the talk about the old days has Zak – played by Steve Halliwell in the ITV soap - laughing but he soon feels guilty for having fun without Lisa and storms out.
Faith – Sally Dexter - finds him and eventually gets him talking again about their shared history and Zak is soon smiling. As they remember the past, the pair share a very brief kiss but are interrupted when the door swings open and everyone else returns home.
Later in the week, Zak tells Faith how guilty he feels about their kiss and that he thinks they should come clean to the family. Faith isn’t so convinced.
The next day Zak wants to talk about things while they’re at the Woolpack and Faith suggests they should head into the cellar for privacy.
In the cellar, the former couple talk about the kiss, while remaining acutely aware of how bad it would look if they were caught down there together.
As they continue to chat, Bear Wolf arrives down in the cellar, forcing them to take cover.

But when a hose is forced off of one of the barrels, both Faith and the pub fuse box, get covered in beer. Upstairs, the power goes out in the bar, and everyone assumes Bear was responsible.
Soon a beer-soaked Faith and Zak stumble out of the cellar, leaving Bear suspicious. But Faith deals a low blow and reveals that Bear is illiterate to take the focus off of her and keep the truth about her and Zak’s kiss hidden.
Lisa passed away shortly after re-marrying Zak back in May. She’d only recently returned to the village and told her family that she was suffering from a terminal heart condition.
