RICHARD Arnold begged pal Amanda Holden for an invite to Christmas dinner after her £5m a year wages were revealed by The Sun.
Amanda, 48, has become the UK’s top-earning female TV star — overtaking daytime rival Holly Willoughby.
Going through the papers on Good Morning Britain today, Richard came across The Sun's exclusive story, telling hosts Kate Garraway and Adil Ray: "Amanda Holden, apparently bagging £5 million a year.
"So, I'm going to text her and see if I can come round for Christmas dinner. You guys carry on and chat, I think I'll tap Amanda up."
The Britain's Got Talent judge is pocketing the incredible sum after landing a string of six-figure deals on top of her telly work.
The mum-of-two is believed to be earning around £1million as a judge on two series of BGT — the latest, which sees former contestants compete in a Champions series, starts on August 31.
She is also thought to net around £1.5million as the co-presenter of the Heart radio breakfast show.
A further £1million comes from a record deal with Virgin EMI after a bidding war over her musical future.
The Sun revealed in February that Amanda was the subject of a battle between Warner, Sony and Universal after a singalong she filmed went viral.
She is also paid £500,000 for her work with High Street giant Marks and Spencer and the same amount again for her QVC interiors range.
And her latest venture is a clothing range with Fenn Wright Manson, which is out this week. She is earning another half a million for the project.
Amanda has also filmed a guest appearance in ITV’s comedy Plebs, to be screened in the autumn.
A source said: "Amanda’s earning potential has gone through the roof the last few years. She’s raking it in from various angles and is sitting very pretty right now."
Amanda and her record producer husband Chris Hughes own two properties - a sprawling family home in Surrey and a country retreat in the Cotswolds.
The family has just got back from a luxury holiday in Puglia, Italy, and is now having a break in Cornwall.
The source added: “She loves the glitz and glamour but also is very down to earth. She’s as happy rubbing shoulders with superstars as she is in Cornwall with the family.
