Can you work out who will win Great British Bake Off 2019 from new stars’ Instagram creations?
GREAT British Bake Off 2019 returns to our screens this Tuesday - so can you guess who will win from their incredible Instagram offerings?
Our sponge-hunting spies have rounded up the greatest gateaux that each of the ten newbies have ever posted on their Instagram accounts.
Yesterday, bookies made 28-year-old geography teacher Alice Fevronia their early favourite to win the contest.
Does she have what it takes in the cakes stakes? Check out what her kitchen rivals are capable of - and decide for yourself...
Alice Fevronia, 28
Alice is currently the favourite - and judging by this artwork of a cake she posted on her Instagram page we can see why.
Topped with fruit and smothered in cream, Paul Hollywood is all but guaranteed to plunge his face into this treat.
Dan Chambers, 32
Support worker Dan must surely be a dangerous contender when it comes to the Show Stopper challenge.
This magnificent creation he made is a strawberry cheesecake, topped with a layer of Prosecco and strawberry jelly, chantilly cream and a shortbread base. Almost too pretty to slice. Almost.
Rosie Brandreth-Poynter, 28
Somerset vet and part-time baking genius Rosie knocked up this spectacular cheesecake.
The dog-lover built this delectable masterpiece out of Lotus Biscoff biscuits and litres of cream. Yes. Please.
Henry Bird, 20
Durham uni student Henry made this flag-tastic treat out of strawberries, blueberries and raspberries.
A long-time fan of the show, he has also made a Bake Off-themed cake and even had his picture taken with former co-host Sue Perkins. Expect great things from the youngster.
Michelle Evans-Fecci, 35
This sensational full-English cake Michelle made last year is sure to get dished up in the tent if the right Show Stopper emerges.
With mushrooms, beans and even black pudding rendered in fondant, this would surely be the stuff of Bake Off legend.
Priya O'Shea, 34
Leicester-based Priya was so pleased with this perky brioche, she sent a picture of it to baking lord Paul Hollywood himself.
She wrote: "Good day for tea and brioche in bed!" only for the Bake Off judge to reply flirtily: "Great idea x"
David Atherton, 36
The globe-trotting health advisor cooked these "chocolate caramel peanutty cakes" to get him through a pottery session.
He went on to knock out a breakfast bowl and a selection of cups - is there anything this guy can't do?
Amelia Le Bruin, 24
Fashion designer Amelia shared a picture of this sensational-looking cake on Instagram, writing: "I don’t think you’re ready for this jelly 🍊."
Wrong Amelia - wrong on every conceivable level. That looks delicious.
Phil Thorne, 56
Heavy goods driver Phil clearly has a deft hand when it comes to light bakes.
The Essex lad knocked up these raisin and cinnamon twists for an "amazing" breakfast bite.
Steph Blackwell, 28
Chester shop assistant Steph baked these spiced spelt vegan cookies last Christmas.
Presumably, the heavy-duty jar is to stop everyone from eating them all at once.
