RICHARD Madeley made yet another blunder while hosting today's Good Morning Britain when he accused co-host Sean Fletcher of going bald.
The gaffe-prone presenter, 63, was discussing Gary Lineker getting in hot water for making fun of his hairless fellow Match of The Day pundits when he turned to Sean and made the awkward comment.
"Do you have very short hair because you are going bald?" he asked the news and sports presenter, who looked taken aback by the question.
Lost for words, Sean, 45, replied: "No, I'm, no...that get's me there [hitting himself in the chest] That hurts. Ouch!"
Unfazed by Sean's reaction, Richard - who was fronting the show with Ranvir Singh today - brushed off the faux pas, saying: "I was just checking, just checking..."
Richard then launched into a debate about the backlash Gary is facing.
Gary said on Saturday night's show: "It's been a hair-raising start to the beginning of the season, unless you are Danny Murphy and Alan Shearer."
Richard made it clear he thought the furore surrounding the remark was unfounded, admitting he thought it was "just a gag between three guys on a football show."
Later in the show, Richard accidentally called former Strictly Come Dancing professional Kristina Rihanoff 'Rihanna', a mistake that was quickly pointed out by fans on twitter.
"The legend that is 'richardm56 calling Kristina Rihanoff Rihanna on @GMB - can he be on every day please?" wrote one.
The broadcasting legend continued to give his unfiltered take on topical events as the show continued.
After students opened their GSCE results live on air, Richard revealed his own academic failings as he admitted he only got 1 percent in his A level maths exam.
"I failed maths," he revealed. "I left school that year to work on my local paper and a year later I was interviewing my headmaster for the newspaper.
"At the end of the interview, he pulled out the drawer my A level maths paper which the board had sent back to him as an example of the worst paper they had ever seen in ten years. I got one percent. And that was just for writing my name at the top of the paper."
Chipped in Sean: "And look at you now!"
"Look at me now!" laughed Richard.

Richard's hilarious 'Madeleyisms' have made him a firm favourite with GMB fans when he fills in for holiday cover.
He famously suffered a epic fail when he turned up for the show with a dodgy tan back in April, claiming that he got ready in the dark and accidentally used some of his wife Judy's fake tan thinking it was moisturiser.
