Bake Off’s Amelia Le Bruin’s resurfaced tweets reveal her telling Twitter followers to ‘kill yourself’

GREAT British Bake Off's latest recruit Amelia Le Bruin has been accused of sending threatening tweets as a teenager, telling Twitter followers: "Kill yourself".

The fashion designer, 24, is believed to have sent the historic tweets in September 2014 when she was 18 years old.

In posts seen by the , Amelia also used the now-banned gun emoji after quoting Dolly Parton's song 9 to 5, saying: "Working 9-5, what a way to make a living."

Amelia, from Halifax, made her debut on GBBO off tonight.

She has been baking for the last 19 years after being inspired by her mum and grandma.

Amelia grew up in Halifax and studied in Leeds and Leicester.

She honed her baking skills while at university, baking for friends and college fundraising events.

Tonight she watched the first show with her friends and family - who all tucked into one of her delicious-looking cakes.
