RICHARD Bacon and Charlotte Hawkins teased James 'Arg' Argent for being "thrilled to have breakfast" live on Good Morning Britain.
The awkward comments come just one day after yesterday's host, Richard Madeley, was slammed online for "body shaming" the ex-Towie star.
As GMB kicked off this morning, the hosts discussed a Twitter debate about ketchup, which was sparked by The Vamps star Connor Ball on social media.
Richard, Charlotte, Richard Gaisford, and Arg - who is acting showbiz correspondent on the ITV breakfast show - were all given a plate of cooked breakfast to demonstrate how they apply ketchup.
Noting Arg's enthusiasm for the segment, Charlotte remarked: "Arg is thrilled about the fact he's got breakfast.
"There you go, tuck in, don't worry - you go for it."
Richard continued: "Crack on mate, there you go.
"Shall we leave him to it for a bit? Do you want me to do the showbiz?"
Arg, who yesterday revealed that doctors have warned him that he is "morbidly obese", looked embarrassed as he said "I am meant to be on a diet!" before putting the plate of food back untouched.
Connor, 23, had shared a photo of some chicken nuggets covered in tomato sauce alongside the caption: "Never trust someone that covers their food in ketchup."
Handed scrambled eggs, toast, and sausages, Charlotte was the first GMB presenter to show off her red sauce technique - delicately squirting a splodge to the side of her plate.
Arg, 31, said in response: "I do the opposite of that, I don't coat it with ketchup.
"I do find it quite therapeutic to decorate, but not too much."
The star struggled to get any sauce from the glass bottle of ketchup and was forced to switch to the squirty one.
After squeezing sauce over the food, he added: "I would probably go brown sauce over ketchup as well."
Charlotte exclaimed: "Over the top? Do the double?"
Arg then clarified that he meant brown sauce rather than ketchup, with Richard remarking: "This is one of the moments in telly when you are pretending to care about something you don't care about."
Yesterday, 61-year-old Richard Madeley received backlash for the way he discussed Arg's weight on the show.
He asked on the live show: "Have you always had a problem with your weight?"
Arg replied: "It's gone up and down, there's been times when I've been really slim and healthy."

After he admitted that he was the heaviest he's ever been earlier this year, Richard asked bluntly: "What are you going to do about it?"
The host - who is often compared to comedy character Alan Partridge - continued: "You're a very good looking guy and the weight thing doesn't get in the way, but I just worry about your health, your heart and everything."
Arg ballooned to 24 stone earlier this year - his highest ever weight - but has recently lost three stone while filming Channel 4's Stand Up To Cancer special Sink or Swim.
