'filmed by kids'

A Confession viewers STILL miffed by crime drama’s ‘shaky’ camerawork

A CONFESSION viewers switched off in their droves AGAIN tonight over the ITV drama's 'shaky' camerawork.

True crime fans were distracted by the "continuous zooms" in the new six-part series about serial killer Christopher Halliwell and were left feeling seasick by the constantly moving picture.

Viewers of the show hate the camera work

Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their frustration at the way the star-studded drama was shot.

One wrote: "I think maybe kids filmed #AConfession and the cameras were too heavy and awkward to hold so they kept knocking the zoom button and... you get me."

Another said: "This camera work along with Martin Freeman has me expecting David Brent piping up from the corner with ‘under weaknesses you’ve put eczema’ #AConfession!"

A thirdsaid: "#AConfession I think it’s the camera man’s first job out of school and he’s really nervous hence the shaking!"

The events depicted in A Confession are based on real events.

When Sian O’Callaghan went missing in March 2011, CCTV evidence quickly led police to taxi driver Christopher Halliwell.

They arrested him on suspicion of kidnap, with Detective Fulcher believing Sian may still be alive — and that Halliwell was their only hope of finding her.

With this in mind, Fulcher made the decision to interrogate him not at the station, but in an isolated countryside spot without a solicitor present.

Halliwell confessed to murder and led him not just to Sian’s body, but to that of Becky Godden-Edwards, reported missing four years earlier.
