Little Britain’s Matt Lucas and David Walliams prove their eight year feud is over as they reunite at the theatre

LITTLE Britain’s Matt Lucas and David Walliams have proved their eight year feud is well and truly over as they reunited at the theatre last night.

BGT judge David, 48, visited his former co-star and Matt, 45, following his performance in Les Miserable and they delighted fans by posing for a picture.

Sharing the shot, Matt told fans: “Some bloke came to watch Les Mis tonight.”

Not surprisingly it went down very well with their followers who rushed to comment on it.

One person wrote: “GET BACK TOGETHER AND START DOING SKITS!!!!”

A second added: “Good to see you both together smiling x”

While a third commented: “Friends again then, Matt? Good to see...”

The iconic comedy duo’s relationship became strained in 2005 during the comedy duo's epic Little Britain Live tour, which triggered a spectacular fight backstage one night.

Matt opened up about their spat in his autobiography Little Me, in which he revealed they were "often at loggerheads" and rows over trivial matters, including what kind of chocolate to have backstage, often escalated.

One particular disagreement over David's facial hair during the tour turned into an all-out screaming match "hurling obscenities at one another".

While they managed to make amends, they locked horns again while on the Australian leg of the tour in 2007.

It wasn't until 2011 Matt and David stopped talking for good until they reunited at the late Dale Winton's funeral in May in 2017.

Matt and David met at the National Youth Theatre and quickly bonded over their love of comedy and impressions.

After smaller TV parts they finally made it big in 2003 with Little Britain, with the show running until 2009.

Last year it was reported that they were planning a “huge TV comeback”.

An insider told the Daily Star Sunday: “It’s all very quiet, and very recent, but Matt and David have started speaking again.

They’ve made up, which is amazing and what’s even better is that they are in serious discussions to work together next year.

“Both realise they missed one another a lot and realise how much joy they can bring themselves and the general public by making a comeback.

“Come Fly With Me is seeming the best option at the moment.”
