Four reasons to watch episode 3 of A Confession

1) We will see Christopher Halliwell confess to Sian O’Callaghan’s

At the end of episode two it was revealed that DC Fulcher - who is leading the investigation into the disappearance of Sian O'Callaghan - wants to interview top suspect Christopher Halliwell at an unofficial location away from the police station without a solicitor - as he is worried that as soon as he has a lawyer "Sian is dead".

He is warned against doing this by his superior officer, and told he is "making a mistake"

The show ended with DC Fulcher talking to Halliwell in the countryside, where he introduced himself, said he was investigating Sian's disappearance and finished by saying: "Are you going to tell us where she is then?"

We know that in episode three that he will confess to Sian's murder as well as another surprise confession - which leads us to our next point.

2) We will find out Becky Godden-Edwards' fate

In the first episode not much was said about Becky but we did find out that her family hadn't seen her for some time and her mum Karen is hoping she'll get in touch.

In episode two, more information about her addiction to drugs is revealed.

In a flashback we see her mum trying to get her off drugs, and even trying heroin herself in a bid to try and get her to stop.

We also see Becky continuously running off.

In episode three we will see Halliwell ask DC Fulcher, if he "wants to see another one" - meaning another body. We know from real life events that this will be Becky.

3) The incredible cast

The series has an a-list star line-up.

The show is headed up by The Hobbit and Sherlock star Martin Freemanwho plays Detective Fulcher.

To add to this we have fellow movie star Imelda Staunton, who is soon to be seen in the new Downton Abbey, playing Karen Edwards who daughter Becky Godden-Edwards is missing.

Next up we have drama veteran Siobhan Finneran who plays Sian O’Callaghan's mum.

Making up the star line-up is former EastEnders star and Doc Martin actor Joe Absolom who plays murderer Christopher Halliwell.

4) The award-winning writer

The series is written by Bafta award winning writing Jeff Pope.

He’s made a career out of turning dramatic real-life events into compelling television, writing and producing shows including Little Boy Blue, Mrs Biggs, Hatton Garden and Appropriate Adult.

Speaking to The Telegraph he said: "My career is built on factual true stories, because inevitably there is within every story originality, not cliche.
