EMMERDALE'S troubled Victoria Sugden will have a glimmer of light in her life this week when she runs into the mysterious Luke again at the hospital.

This week in Dales, Victoria – who’s played by Isabel Hodgins - is torn when she’s asked if she wants to know the gender of her unborn baby.

Victoria and Luke first ran into each other in the hospital over the summer.

Luke flirted with the pregnant chef before grabbing her arm to make sure she didn’t leave without her purse.

Thinking he was up to no good after her rape ordeal at the hands of horrible Lee Posner, she ran off, leaving her purse behind.

But after a pep talk from Diane, Victoria realised why she had reacted as she had and later when she ran into Luke again she was strong enough to speak to him.

And it became clear to viewers there was a spark between Victoria and the hunky mystery man.

He handed over her purse and the pair shared a joke about him stealing her cash and cloning her cards.

He told her: "I hope things work out for you."

Luke then walked off but The Sun Online revealed that wouldn’t be the last viewers would see of the stranger.

But fans are fearing the worst for Victoria, and they're convinced he is secretly connected to the vile rapist who remains in a coma.

One wrote: "Is that Lee's mate? If so, he could be the catalyst for Lee's undoing."

A second said: "Is that Lee's pal?"

Victoria was brutally raped in her own home by vile Lee earlier this year.

He ended up in a coma in hospital after being attacked by Victoria’s brother, Robert.

Robert is now facing a life sentence behind bars for GBH with intent, which has left his family and friends heartbroken.

Actor Ryan Hawley announced he was leaving the ITV soap after six years of playing Robert Sugden.
