THE BEST SOCIAL CIRCLES

Zoe Ball and Fatboy Slim’s son Woody signs up for Channel 4 reality show The Circle

THE Circle is a show where youngsters use social media to boost their popularity – which shouldn’t be a problem for contestant Woody Cook.

In the real world, being the son of BBC2 Breakfast host Zoe Ball and superstar DJ Norman Cook would instantly boost your credibility.

But in the spirit of the game, Woody won’t be revealing his parentage to the other contestants on the show, which is hosted by Emma Willis and returns to C4 at 9.15pm tomorrow.

He has already been warned by his parents: “What you say on TV is out there for ever.

“You can’t unsay it and once you share too much, you never unshare it.”

Sounds like great advice. Shame not all celebrities abide by it.

Chasing laughs

YOU’RE not seeing Shooting Stars or getting another Bucket O’ French And Saunders, but the makers of The Chase are having a bit of a laugh.

They’ve intentionally lined up contestants Dawn and Jenny next to Vik and Bob for tomorrow’s show, to give you the idea you might be looking at two of Britain’s best-loved comedy duos, ready to pit their wits against the Chasers.

The show’s producers have done it before with a “royal” episode of quizzers, with people named Megan, Harry, Kate and Will placed in a line.

Now that would be a real celebrity special.

Silence is grand

CHANNEL 4 loves to make programmes that generate a lot of noise but its latest idea is a silent reality show.

In Hush, being developed by Expectation, five strangers will be banged up together in a house for 48 hours. They must complete a series of tasks to win a cash prize of £1,000.

But if they are caught chatting, the money drops.

A Big Brother-style “diary room” will be the only place where contestants can let off steam about those they are living with and talk about the tasks they face.
