Piers Morgan impersonates Kim Kardashian’s awkward Emmys speech after she’s laughed off stage with sister Kendall Jenner

PIERS Morgan impersonated Kim Kardashian's Emmy's speech on Good Morning Britain today after the "talentless half-wit" was laughed off stage at the Emmys.

Piers, 54, took pleasure in mocking the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star on Monday morning following the embarrassing moment at the bash last night.

Kim appeared on stage with sister Kendall Jenner and described her show as being about 'real people'.

And Piers laughed as he said: "The audience didn't react too sincerely when Kim said: 'Our family knows first hand how truly compelling television comes from real people just being themselves.'

"Well as you can imagine this went down like a lead balloon."

GMB then played the clip that showed Kendall and Kim looking very awkward as giggles erupted off camera.

Piers added: "It's that awkward moment when they genuinely think they are proper stars.

"They're standing there at the Emmys, they are billionaires, that's fantastic. Except they are standing there in front of an audience of genuinely talented people, who then just think, 'Oh look at these idiots'"

However, his co-host Susanna Reid refused to agree with his point of view and said: "Sorry that is crackers. Why are people laughing?

"That is one of the most successful programmes on television. So why are an audience of TV people laughing at them? They make great TV. I love that programme."

But Piers remarked: "Maybe it is because they are a bunch of talentless half-wits."

And Susanna hit back: "But People lap it up Piers Morgan!"

Kim and Kendall took to the stage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles to present the Competition Programme award at Sunday's ceremony.

The two women looked stunning in their respective gowns, but their smiles slipped as the audience started to laugh during their introduction to the category.

But before Kendall could say her bit after Kim, an audible laugh could be heard around the auditorium.

The 23-year-old said as the laughter continued: "Telling their stories, unfiltered and unscripted."

Taking to Twitter, one viewer wrote: "The crowd's reaction to Kim Kardashian saying reality shows were just "real people living their lives unscripted" could not have been more perfect. #unscriptedlaughter #emmys."

Another added: "How about the whole audience just cackling at the idea of the Kardashians being real... even Kim knew it was funny #Emmys."

A third clocked the awkward moment, writing: "Eeeek. There was a very loud laugh from the audience when Kim Kardashian was presenting. Laughing at her; not with her. It was uncomfortable (and, in my opinion, uncalled for) in the room. #Emmys."

A fourth agreed, tweeting: "The entire room cackling at Kim Kardashian and Kendall Jenner when they presented Outstanding Competition Program is a whole mood. They really set them up with their lines about being "unscripted" and stuff, didn't they? #Emmys."
