Aston Merrygold reveals former JLS bandmate Oritse Williams is hard at work on new music
SIX years after JLS split, a reunion could be on the cards — but not in the conventional sense.
Aston Merrygold has revealed his former bandmate Oritse Williams is hard at work on new music after being found not guilty of rape earlier this year, and they are planning to collaborate.
Speaking at the Mini Mode London Kids Fashion Week show he said: “He’s back in music, he’s been writing, he’s been spilling his soul.
“He’s probably been writing some of the best music he’s done and he’s ready to get back into the commercial industry and show that.”
And asked if he would appear on any of his songs, Aston said: “We’re always collaborating, all of us.”
But the pair, along with Marvin Humes and JB Gill won’t be tempted back for X Factor: All Stars, having finished as runners up in 2013.
He said: “It’s not for us. For us it’s a bit more than that - even though we came from the show and it’s great and we’ll always be thankful - for us to come back it needs to be for the fans.
“They’re the ones that sustained that career for however long. Timing is everything.”
