Who is Alexandr ‘Alex’ Magala?
Alexandr ‘Alex’ Magala is a sword swallower and acrobat, who appeared on season eight of America’s Got Talent.
Despite impressing the judges with his incredible, nail-biting stunts he was eliminated in the quarterfinals.
At the time, judges on the American version of Britain’s Got Talent labelled him "the best sword swallower in the world”.
He has previously won Russia’s Got Talent and appeared on series 10 of Britain’s Got Talent in 2016.
Alex, who is from Moldovan, is also an experienced aerialist and pole dancer, as well as the leader and owner of the 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu school in Krasnodar, Russia.

Alex returned for America’s Got Talent: The Champions in 2019, however, he was booted off the show in the preliminaries.

Yes, in fact, the sword swallower injured himself during the live semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent in 2016.
ITV bosses banned him from performing one of his stunts on the programme as they deemed it to be too dangerous.
He later appeared on ITV’s Lorraine to reveal the injuries he sustained on his body, including a long cut across his left arm.
But the bruise did not hamper his determination as he promised to move forward with even more dangerous tricks.

Week five of Britain’s Got Talent: The Champions aired on Saturday, September 28, 2019, on ITV from 8.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
