Emmerdale viewers in hysterics as Kim Tate formally and calmly introduces herself on emergency 999 call

EMMERDALE viewers were left in hysterics last night as Kim Tate formally and calmly introduced herself on an emergency 999 call.

The classic evil character, played by Claire King, wanted an ambulance after Millie got knocked over by a horse during a freak accident but she baffled those watching at home by introducing herself first.

Rather than giving details of the incident, or even saying where they were, she started the call by saying: “It’s Kim Tate.”

Fans of the show were highly amused by the interaction and took to Twitter to discuss it.

One person wrote: "Does Kim think the emergency operator knows who she is?"

A second added: "Screaming at Kim Tate introducing herself on a 999 call as if she was just phoning her favourite restaurant."

While a third remarked: “Just came on here to see if anyone was tweeting about Kim formally introducing herself to the 999 operator.... #emmerdale.”

After the accident Millie’s dad Jamie held himself responsible after ignoring his mum Kim's advice and riding temperamental horse Blaze.

When Blaze bolted, the rest of the horses at the farm were spooked and Millie got knocked down in the chaos.

Kim tried to get him to see that it was just an accident, but emotional Jamie remained unconvinced.

When one of the doctors at the hospital asked Andrea for her daughter’s date of birth, Graham overheard.

He confronted Andrea and demanded to know if he is Millie’s biological dad after a one-night stand around the time Millie was conceived.
