When did Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth split?
BACHELORETTE Kaitlyn Bristowe spilt the tea about her previous relationship with Shawn Booth.
Season 11 of the Bachelorette ended with believing she found love, but by , she announced it wasn't the case, and for a specific reason.
When did Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth split?
The two announced their official breakup in November of 2018 via a joint statement.
Up to that point, the couple had been dating for three years, and many had been wondering when the marriage was to come.
The two had first got engaged in 2015, on the season finale of The Bachelorette, where Bristowe picked Booth over the rest of the contestants.
In the official statement, the two wrote “After three incredible years, we have decided to go our separate ways. This difficult decision comes after thoughtful, respectful consideration."
Their announcement didn't come as a shock to all however, as rumors had been swirling for a little bit.
The two had reportedly been spending much of their time apart, though Bristowe cited hectic schedules as the reason for that.
"We are both so busy, and unfortunately that means we’re spending all of this time apart," said Bristowe in an interview with E!'s LadyGang.
At the time of that interview, Bristowe was in her native Canada with her family and Booth had just opened a gym.
Why did Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth split?
When Bristowe took to LadyGang, she divulged a lot more about the two's split: specifically who dumped who?
Bristowe revealed that Booth was the one to call off the relationship, not her.
She said on the podcast, "He didn’t know why he couldn’t love me. I just think the show was too hard for someone to get over."
While Booth may have been the one to call it off, they still have ended things amicably.
In just less than six months, Bristowe had started dating Jason Tartick, another Bachelorette alum.
Tartick appeared on season 14 of the show, being eliminated on week 9.
While the two first went on a date in January of 2019, by June the two had already moved in together and even adopted a dog.
At the time, Booth wasn't a fan of the relationship too much, but still wished the best for Bristowe.
Since 2019, Bristowe and Tartick have remained together, even through 2020's pandemic.
