What happened in the case between Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion?
Opening statements in the trial against rapper Tory Lanez began in December 2022.

"She's been subjected to a stream of hate. For what? For coming forward as a victim of domestic violence?"
Lanez claims he didn't shoot Megan and was framed by her production team.
Lanez's defense attorney, George Mgdesyan, in his closing statement, called Megan a "liar."
"She lied about everything in this case from the beginning," Mgdesyan said. "She lied under oath here."
Mgdesyan also alleged that his client was trying to, instead, "protect" Megan from her former friend, Kelsey Harris.
Both musicians used song lyrics and social media to allege that the other was lying about the events.
