THE 55th annual Country Music Awards took the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee on November 10, 2021.

Country music's biggest night saw a host of country crooners walk away with big wins.

Taking place in Nashville with pandemic protocols in place, the ceremony was aired on ABC at 8pm and hosted by Luke Bryan.

The full list of winners are as follows:

  • Entertainer of the Year: Luke Combs
  • Female Vocalist of the Year: Carly Pearce
  • Male Vocalist of the Year: Chris Stapleton
  • Vocal Group of the Year: Old Dominion
  • Vocal Duo of the Year: Brothers Osborne
  • New Artist of the Year: Jimmie Allen
  • Musician of the Year: Jenee Fleenor
  • Album of the Year: "Starting Over" - Chris Stapleton
  • Single of the Year: "Starting Over" - Chris Stapleton
  • Song of the Year: "Starting Over" - Mike Henderson, Chris Stapleton
  • Musical Event of the Year: "half of my hometown" - Kelsea Ballerini (featuring Kenny Chesney)

Who performed at the CMAs 2021?

The CMA awards saw a performance lineup stacked full of talent.

Among those who took the stage were Chris Stapleton, Luke Combs, Gabby Barrett, Blake Shelton, Jennifer Hudson, Jimmie Allen, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean and Carrie Underwood.

Sweeping Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, Single of the Year and Song of the Year, Chris Stapleton secured the most wins of the night. The 55th CMAs marked his fifth win in the vocalist category and third win in the album category.

"I want to say thank you to everybody that listened to the record, everybody that listens to music—country music fans," he said while accepting Album of the Year for Starting Over.

"It's always an honor to receive the album award. We work really hard to make albums—we believe in albums, and we like what that is."

One of the night's most memorable moments was Carly Pearce's emotional reaction to winning Female Vocalist of the Year.

In her acceptance speech, she highlighted how country music has "saved her" and said that she "had a crazy year."

"I want you to know that this means everything to me," she added.

Cameras also caught Carly exchanging a kiss with boyfriend Riley King to celebrate her win.

Her break-up from ex-husband Michael Ray inspired her album, 29, a collection of seven songs in which she documented her divorce as well as the death of her close friend and producer, Michael James Ryan in September, 2019.
