Khloe Kardashian was ‘distracted’ and ‘not happy’ but ‘turned it on for the cameras’ at the People’s Choice Awards
KHLOE Kardashian tried to put on a happy face at last night's People's Choice Awards, but inside she was reportedly still steaming over Tristan Thompson's surprise baby news.
The reality star's appearance comes just days after the revelation that NBA star Tristan, 30, fathered a son with personal trainer Maralee Nichols last week, after the two reportedly had a months-long secret affair.
Khloe, 37, tried to put the drama behind her for at least one evening, as she, sister Kim and mom Kris accepted the Reality Show of 2021 award for Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
But sources told behind the scenes, Khloe was a wreck.
According to the insider, Khloe: “wasn’t smiling a lot” during the awards show and appeared “really distracted” throughout the night. The reality star was “constantly on her phone” and she “didn’t look too happy.”
Sister Kim, who was honored with the Fashion Icon Award, tried to help, and was apparently able to calm Khloe down, and help her eventually “turn it up for the cameras.”
According to the eyewitness, having family on hand “seemed to be the support she needed.”
The awards show was Khloe's first public appearance since Tristan's bombshell news dropped.

New mom Maralee has already filed a lawsuit against the Sacramento Kings player for paternal support after she claimed they conceived a child on his birthday in March.
The athlete was dating Khloe at the time - although they split in June after he "spent 30 minutes in a bedroom with three women" at a "wild" house party.
In his response to Maralee's child support filing, the baller admitted to having sex with her "several times" at a Houston hotel after they attended his party together.
The fitness guru allegedly "drove him to the event in her Maserati sportscar" before they headed back to his hotel where she "had a special birthday surprise" for the athlete.
Tristan claimed he knew the encounter would be sex, though he asserted that was the only time they were "intimate."
However, Maralee's lawyers have countered the statement, saying their affair began "five months" prior to the birthday evening in March.
They added that the Texas native "traveled to California on multiple occasions" and continued to see the then father-of-two "after she got pregnant."
SOCIAL DISCOVERY
All the while, Khloe was apparently oblivious to the pregnancy, and found out about the love child via social media.
A source said the star was completely surprised when people tipped off her team about Tristan's baby.
"Khloe was shocked to her core when she found out - and even more shocked at how she found out," a source told The Sun. "It wasn't Tristan who told her, it was messages on social media that her team were getting way before the story came out."
They continued: "Khloe may now be saying they've been broken up since spring - but that's not the whole story.
"She had actually been giving Tristan 'one last chance' - he was getting therapy, and staying single and out of trouble and then they were going to see where they were at."
The insider also noted: "Her family are furious she's been left embarrassed again. They've told her she's been humiliated for the last time. They're telling her co-parenting and a friendly relationship is fine, but getting back together with him and acting like a couple is too far."
THE LAWSUIT
Maralee filed the lawsuit against her alleged baby daddy on June 30, just days after moving from Texas to Los Angeles.
She requested child support as well as "reimbursement of medical expenses and pregnancy-related costs such as Lamaze classes, a doula, and prenatal vitamins."

In the papers, Maralee has also asked that Tristan pay for costly items needed after the baby's birth, including "clothing, formula, and diapers."
Tristan has not denied that he is the baby boy's father but requested that a paternity test be completed after the child's birth.
