on the south side of Chicago on fire.
He captioned it: "DONDA2 COMING 2 22 22 EXECUTIVE PRODUCED BY FUTURE."
On his Instagram Story, the rapper posted a white screen with "Feb. 22, 2022" written out - underneath he teased a lengthy blurb about a "spiritual makeover" to come.
It read: "According to the stars, the United States is finally getting a spiritual makeover with its first-ever Pluto Return on Feb. 22, 2022."
Fans, however, flooded twitter with their skepticism over DONDA 2 as the eccentric perfectionist is known for doing anything but releasing his albums on time.
"I feel really bad for you if you think Kanye dropping Donda 2 in February," one Twitter user wrote.
A second chimed in: "Kanye would never pass up a chance to string his fans along for months on end."
"Here we go again," lamented a third.
A fourth did some music math on Kanye's ten studio albums, with DONDA 2 potentially being his 11th and first sequel:
"Kanye Albums have been a total of 1,845 days late only 4 have arrived on time - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, Yeezus, Ye & Kids See Ghosts - 9 have been late. Make of that what you will"
"Heard it’s actually coming 3/33/33," lambasted another.
Granted, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy is highly regarded as one of the best albums of the 2010s, as was its symbolic and musical counterpoint Yeezus.
In his announcement, Kanye added an additional Instagram Story of a graphic of the earlier house melding with a face and a film camera with red lasers shooting out from various directions.
The graphic was titled 'Shooters Inside My Crib,' along with an advisory sticker, theoretically making it a single.
Kanye's potential single art could be a reference to his ex Kim Kardashian beefing up security at the $60M house they once shared.
DONDA DOUBTS EXPLAINED
Fans were collectively cautious, as Kanye is known for delaying his albums.
The initial release for DONDA was pushed back several times.
Once the album was finally ready for release, Kanye claimed it was "released without his permission" and his label "blocked" a song featuring Marilyn Manson and DaBaby following controversies involving each of them.

DONDA was dedicated to Kanye's late mother Donda West - an English professor who singlehandedly raised him.
One potential song on DONDA 2 would be EAZY, which Ye released last month, taking a shot at his ex Kim Kardashian's boyfriend Pete Davidson.
He rapped: "God saved me from the crash, just so I can beat Pete Davidson's a**.”
Pete reportedly thought the song was "hilarious."
