Kanye West fans ‘furious’ Tyler The Creator wins best rap album Grammy over Ye as controversial star is banned from show

KANYE West fans were furious to hear that Tyler The Creator won the best rap album after the Donda rapper was banned from the Grammys.

Kanye, 44, was pulled from the Grammys following his online attacks on Kim, 41, her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, and the award show's host Trevor Noah.

Now fans shared their frustration that his wildly popular album, Donda, was snubbed by the recording academy as Tyler The Creator took home the trophy.

"Tyler the creator won a Grammy for rap album of the year over Nas, Drake, Kanye West, and J.Cole. That doesn't make sense lol. All four mentioned are legends in they own right. But Tyler the Creator? Hip Hop is dead," one ranted on Twitter.

"Tyler didn't deserve it," a second complained, while a third confessed: "Tyler’s flows and storytelling really shined on this album. But sonically I really enjoy Donda more."

One remarked: "Tyler the creator dominated but I think Kanye West deserved it," while a final complained: "How the F**KKKK did Tyler the creator win over J COLE & KANYE WEST ???"

Despite not winning best rap album, Kanye did take home the award for best rap song for his single Jail with Jay-Z.

KICKED OUT

The rapper's removal from his performance at the music awards was announced last week, with a source telling  that it was “due to what they deem to be concerning online behavior".

The hitmaker was nominated for Album of the Year for his wildly popular compilation, Donda.

TREVOR'S SHADE

He clashed with host Trevor after the comedian spoke out about his divorce from Kim.

He said during his The Daily Show segment: "I'll be honest with you - what I see from the situation is a woman who wants to live her life without being harassed by an ex-boyfriend or an ex-husband or an ex-anything.

SOCIAL MEDIA WAR

Shortly after, Kanye clapped back via Instagram in a since-deleted post, re-writing the lyrics to "Kumbaya" as "k--- baya my lord," a slur that refers to a Black person who rejects their ethnicity.

The father of four's post resulted in a temporary ban from Instagram, with Meta confirming that his behavior violated their policy on hate speech, bullying, and harassment.

Kanye has also attacked Kim and Pete online after they began dating in late 2021.

He has called Pete a "d**khead," threatened to "beat his a**," and accused him of attempting to "destroy" his family.

The Yeezy founder even "kidnapped and beheaded" the comic in the animated music video of his song Eazy, a project which he has since defended.

Last week, the rapper claimed he is concerned that Pete will get Kim "hooked on drugs" as he has been in and out of rehab.

He posted a screenshot of a follower's comment reading: "The way Skete used Kim's marital status to address Kanye was a sneak diss to her & she didn't even catch it."

Kanye captioned his post: "I'm really concerned that SKETE will get my kids mom hooked on drugs He’s in rehab every 2 months."

DAD'S WISHES

The father of four has also attacked Kim on several occasions for allowing their eight-year-old daughter North to wear makeup and go on TikTok.

The makeup mogul filed for divorce from Kanye back in February 2021 after nearly seven years of marriage.

The former couple shares their kids: North, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, two.
