Kardashian fans furious after viewing even more shocking new photos of Kim’s $5M Marilyn Monroe dress
KARDASHIAN fans have become furious after viewing more shocking photos of Kim’s $5M Marilyn Monroe dress.
Kim, 41, wore Monroe’s historic gown, in which the actor famously sang “Happy Birthday” to President John F. Kennedy, at the 2022 Met Gala.
The photos, posted on a Keeping Up With the Kardashians Reddit board, shows the gown before and after Kim wore it to the Gala.
The before shot displays the famous gown’s shoulder strap intact as it rests upon a plush mannequin.
The after photo shows a now tattered and ripped strap hanging from the same figure.
The board was titled: “Even MORE damage on Marilyn’s dress”

The “even more” comes after Kim was previously accused of destroying Marilyn Monroe’s iconic $5million gown after a video surfaced of the TV personality unable to fit inside the dress.
In that video clip, the reality star was joined by her boyfriend Pete Davidson, 28, as they visited Ripley’s Believe It Or Not in Orlando, Florida.
The wacky museum pulled out the gown 10 days before it made its Met Gala debut, and a room full of people used their strength to get the TV personality into the dress.
But the gown, which was originally worn by Marilyn Monroe when she sang “Happy Birthday Mr. President” to JFK, was unable to fit over her rear end.
In a shocking moment, the crew was forced to leave the back of the gown open to avoid ripping.
However, fans were not pleased after the new videos emerged, as they took to Reddit to claim that she “destroyed” the timeless outfit.
“This is so infuriating! It’s so delicate that gloves must be worn while handling it but Kim is allowed to destroy it like this? Ok,” one fan ranted.
“I don’t understand her logic at all. She can’t fit into the dress. She couldn’t even zip it up or get anywhere near zipping it up. She struggled to go up the damned stairs in it, but I guess she is so far up her own a** that she felt she NEEDED to actually wear the dress and have pictures taken in it,” a second complained.
A third asked: “What’s the point of wearing it when it gets stretched and destroyed like this?”
DAMAGING DISAPPOINTMENT
Fans again voiced their disappointment in Kim’s wardrobe choice in light of the emergence of the new photos.
One Redditor wrote: “So disappointing, to see it so damaged. Rip to a piece of fashion history. She should [have] just worn retro and not actually touched the dress.”
A second fan responded to the comment, “Or even just made a replica that fit her proportions? I’m sure she has the resources for that”.
Another person added: “The worst part of this is that you can 100% feel a rip like this. She knew right when it happened, and she has known all this time.”
A Redditor questioned the SKIMS founder, asking “Kim, what are you going to say about this?”
An angry fan responded for the Kardashians star: “Not a damn thing because her goal has been accomplished. The aftermath is none of her idiotic concern.”
While another added: “She’s not going to say anything about it. I’m sure more “sources” will come out and say she didn’t damage the dress. If she’s ever asked about it directly, she’ll say it was done by the people who handled it.”
TROUBLE FITTING IN
Kim went to great lengths to ensure that she fit inside her Met Gala gown.
Speaking with on the red carpet at the Met Gala, Kim revealed the many hoops she had to jump through to fit into the gown.
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum and Pete took a quick trip to Orlando, Florida, recently where the dress was being held at Ripley’s Believe It or Not!
Kim shared: “I had this idea to try it on and then they came with armed guards and gloves.”
At first, the dress didn’t fit the mom of four’s signature curves, but that didn’t stop her from wearing it to the Met Gala.
She told the magazine: “I tried it on and it didn’t fit me. I said, ‘Give me three weeks.’
“I had to lose 16 pounds down today.”
Kim went on: “It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks.
“We’re having a pizza and doughnut party back at the hotel [after the Met Gala].”
The dress was designed by Jean Louis and originally cost $12,000.
It wasn’t just tight on Kim – reported that Marilyn allegedly had to be sewn into the dress prior to her iconic performance in the gown.
