Inside Travis Barker’s terrifying past health problems including blood clots, nerve damage, and third-degree burns
TRAVIS Barker has battled a myriad of health problems in the past, including a broken back, blood damage and third-degree burns.
After the rocker was hospitalized earlier this week, we take a look back at the 46-year-old rocker's terrifying medical issues over the years.
Fourteen years ago, Travis nearly lost his life following a horrific plane crash which left the musician severely burned and battling PTSD.
He was aboard the doomed flight on September 19, 2008, along with his assistant Chris Baker, security guard Charles "Che" Still, and his best friend Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein.
Both Chris and Che lost their lives - as well as two pilots - on the Learjet 60 which crashed shortly after takeoff in South Carolina.
DJ AM died almost a year after the crash from an overdose as he struggled to cope with the impact of the horrific event.

Following an investigation, the National Transportation Safety Board's report attributed the accident to tire bursts during takeoff and the pilot's decision to abort at high speed - which was not recommended for the aircraft.
After the crash, Travis was left with third-degree burns covering 65 percent of his body.
Both Travis and DJ AM suffered second and third-degree burns, the pair underwent skin grafts.
Following the incident, Travis moved to a burn center in Georgia for 11 weeks.

He underwent 26 surgeries in total and suffered a broken back that had fractured in three places.
In his memoir, Can I Say, Travis described the aftermath of the tragic 2008 event, including his battle with PTSD and suicidal ideation.
He said he told friends: "I just want to die. I want someone to kill me," at the height of his anxiety attacks and depression.
BLOOD CLOTS
In 2018, Travis was hospitalized again after suffering blood clots in both arms.
In June of that year, Blink-182 canceled a string of their Las Vegas concerts due to Travis’ health issues.
He explained on Instagram that he had been diagnosed with a staph infection and cellulitis.
It is a bacterial infection that can cause swelling, inflammation and pain, causing blood clots to form and block one or more veins.
He was treated with antibiotics and anticoagulants at the time and was only cleared to perform months later in October of the same year.
CAR CRASH
In July 2018 there was further drama as Travis' SUV was hit by a school bus in Calabasas, Los Angeles.
He was driving his Mercedes with his son Landon, 18, and a friend in the back when it was totaled by a bus.
The rocker came out miraculously uninjured from the nightmare accident.
“I was in a really bad car accident but I came out unscathed, which is pretty awesome,” Travis told at the time.
“My car is totaled but I pretty much walked away OK, which is awesome. A school bus ran a red light. It was insane.
"I have a really big 4×4 G-Wagon and if I wasn’t in that, it might have been different but it held up pretty well.”
NERVE DAMAGE
Travis has also suffered from a nerve damage condition called trigeminal neuralgia for years.
It causes sudden, severe facial pain that usually happens in short attacks that can last from a few seconds to about two minutes.
The condition usually affects one side of the face, but it can occur in both. In severe cases, sufferers can have many attacks a day.
Travis opened up about the condition in 2019, explaining on Joe Rogan’s podcast: “I also have trigeminal neurolgia. Have you heard of it? It’s the worst. It’s called the suicide disease.”
“Cause basically all of the nerves in your face are firing all at the same time. So it almost feels like what you feel when you think you need a root canal or you have a tooth that’s messed up,” he continued.
The musician added that he had only had “four episodes” and uses CBD to help with the pain.
MYSTERY ILLNESS
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, Travis was hospitalized with a mystery illness.
He was taken to West Hills Hospital in , California, closely followed by his wife, Kourtney Kardashian.
A spokesperson for Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff's Station confirmed to The Sun there were no 911 calls made from Kourtney or Travis' addresses on Tuesday, June 28.
Instead, Travis and Kourtney reportedly headed to the West Hills Hospital themselves.
Apparently, the issue was more serious than they originally thought, and Travis suddenly found himself taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
