AGT’s Sofia Vergara & Joe Manganiello ‘divorcing’ after 7 years of marriage as the pair ‘grew apart’ before shock split
AMERICA'S Got Talent judge Sofia Vergara and her husband Joe Manganiello have announced they are divorcing after seven years of marriage- according to reports.
The Colombian beauty queen and True Blood actor released a joint statement to confirming the news.
Sofia, 51, and Joe, 46, announced their separation in a statement to the outlet on Monday.
They shared: "We have made the difficult decision to divorce.
"As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives."
A source added to the outlet: “Sofia and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”
The couple was last seen together last month in Hoboken, New Jersey as Sofia visited the actor on a project with Vince Vaughn.
CRYPTIC CLUES
The AGT judge is, however, currently celebrating her 51st birthday in Italy without Joe.
She had posted shared several photos and videos from her ongoing vacation that worried fans- including seemingly ditching her wedding ring.
Sofia shared snaps from a Capri birthday dinner at a restaurant last Monday evening.

In them, the Modern Family actress grinned as she blew out the candles on her cake and was serenaded by a band.
Posing with her friends, she wrote: "So lucky to have my best friends in my favorite restaurant in my favorite island!!! I love u."
Fans flooded the comments with their concern after noticing that Joe was missing from the night's celebrations and hadn't joined her on the Italian getaway.
Sofia also captioned another post: "When life gives u lemons u come to Italy to squeeze them.”
The caption and the absence of the True Blood star in her various uploads raised eyebrows among fans.
One person wrote: “Is anyone else wondering where’s Joe?” while another said, “Wondering where her husband is, he hasn’t shown up in any of the photos of videos.”
Another wrote: "But where is hubby? Not in a picture anywhere. And they put their house up for sale."
Last month, Sofia and Joe put their $18million Beverly Hills mansion up for sale for the second time in a year.
Sofia - who is best known for playing Gloria on Modern Family - bought the seven-bedroom house in 2014 for $10.6million before she married Joe.
Joe also raised eyebrows by posting a birthday tribute to his wife on his own that simply read: “!!Feliz Cumpleaños Sofía!!!” (“Happy Birthday Sofía” in Spanish.)
UNHAPPY BIRTHDAY?
One user commented: "Joe, I hope you guys are ok, that was a very different(cold) happy birthday wish to your wife, compared to previous ones!"
Another added: "Am I the only one who doesn’t like the way it sounds? 'Sofia'.... not even 'My love, My beloved wife.'"
A third follower posted: "Something is off.
"Cold message for her and has two stories about his dog’s birthday. And Sofia has not even said thank you."
Joe was also missing from Sofia's Fourth of July celebrations earlier this month.
The actress enjoyed a pool party with her son Manolo, 31, as well as her rarely-seen sister Sandra and other family members.
Manolo's father is Sofia's high school sweetheart Joe Gonzalez, who she married when she was 18.
Manolo was born in September 1991 and the couple divorced in 1993.
Sofia last shared throwback photos of Joe to Instagram [one seen above] in late June.
JOE AND SOFIA'S ROMANCE
Joe and Sofia met in 2014 with the couple dating for six months before getting engaged on Christmas Day that year.
They got married in Palm Beach, Florida, on November 21, 2015, and purchased a $26million Los Angeles mansion.
The pair celebrated their fifth anniversary in November 2021, and Manganiello told his "instincts about (Vergara) were right.”
“I knew pretty quickly that I could trust her, and she knew pretty quickly that she could trust me,” Manganiello said.

"I was capable of putting her wishes ahead of mine, whatever they were, and she was capable of doing the same. Once you have that, you don't let go of it.”
