MIAMI Vice star Don Johnson has been spotted looking unrecognizable during a day out in Los Angeles three decades on from the hit crime show.

Don, now 74, looked worlds away from his detective days as James “Sonny” Crockett on the ’80s show with a gray beard and long hair.

Don went for a casual look during a trip to Erewhon Market with his wife Kelley Phleger on Tuesday.

The Nash Bridges star – who shares daughter Dakota Johnson with his ex-wife Melanie Griffth – wore a gray knitted cardigan over a black T-shirt.

He finished the look with black sweatpants, gray and pale green sneakers, a red baseball cap, and gold aviators.

The father of five ditched the clean-shaven look he sported on Miami Vice for some scruffy facial hair.

Don shot to fame playing undercover detective Sonny on the cop series in 1984.

He played the role until 1990 opposite Philip Michael Thomas as Ricardo “Rico” Tubbs.

The actor won a Golden Globe award and Emmy nomination for his performance.

The show was synonymous with white ’80s power suits with shoulder pads, pastel-hued outfits, and bouffant hair.

Offscreen, Don welcomed daughter Dakota, 34, with Melanie, 66, in 1989.

Don and Melanie had been married and divorced over a decade earlier but reconciled in 1989.

DAD TO DAKOTA

Just months after the couple remarried, they welcomed Dakota.

Don has been married five times and has five children – Dakota, Jesse, Grace, Jasper, and Deacon.

Dakota has previously admitted she had a colorful childhood as she often traveled with her actor parents around the world for months at a time.

The 50 Shades of Grey star told  in 2017 that without an anchor” anywhere, she was “consistently unmoored and discombobulated.”

She was in therapy by the time she was 3.

“I feel like I grew up in the circus. I know planes, trains and automobiles. And really talented, weird people,” Dakota added to  in 2015.

Dakota split her time between Melanie’s Los Angeles home and Don’s Colorado home when she wasn’t home.

She also occasionally spent time at her grandmother Tippi Hedren’s big cat sanctuary in the California desert, before enrolling in private school in Santa Monica.

BREAKOUT ROLE

Dakota had her first big role as Sean Parker’s one-night stand in The Social Network.

Since then, she has appeared in movies like 21 Jump Street and The Five-Year Engagement, before landing her first major role as Anastasia Steele in 50 Shades of Grey in 2013.

Don appears to be pleased his daughter is following in his showbusiness footsteps.

In 2016, he told  that he was “super proud” of everything she had accomplished.

The Django Unchained star previously admitted that he hadn’t seen Dakota in a while because of her busy schedule.

“She doesn’t really call me for advice,” he said on Late Night with Seth Meyers in 2021.

“She calls me to say, ‘Gosh, I would see you, but I’ve got three pictures that I’m shooting at the same time.'”
