Netflix fans slam ‘obvious’ Ben Hardy stunt double in 6 Underground as full shots of face make it into movie
FILM buffs have found them distracted while watching new Netflix release 6 Underground.
The action flick hit the streaming service earlier this week and has impressed with its high-octane action sequences and thrilling chase scenes.
However, there was one aspect of the movie that viewers couldn’t get past – Ben Hardy’s stunt double.
The former EastEnders actor’s rise to super-stardom has seen him appear in all manner of Hollywood blockbusters, but like the rest of the cast, he didn’t perform his own stunts.
While this is pretty standard fare in action movies, normally directors ensure that the faces of stunt doubles are hidden, so as not to ruin the illusion.
However, Ben’s stunt double’s face was clearly on show in multiple shots – and fans were quick to moan about the gaffe on Twitter.
One user fumed: “I’m watching 6 Underground and Ben Hardy’s stunt double was so obvious you literally get a full view of his face.”
They also shared two pics of the stunt double performing an impressive jump from the edge of a building.
A second user replied: “There was another scene you could see the stunt's face too, and some stunts were smaller than him.”
While a third chimed in: “That’s exactly what i said to our lass!” alongside a laughing emoji.
However a fourth pointed out: “Well, we wouldn't want Ben Hardy to get hurt.”
The film – a collaboration with acclaimed filmmaker Michael Bay, as well as Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick from the Deadpool team – is fronted by Ryan Reynolds, who plays billionaire One.
He recruits a deadly team of operatives, convincing them to fake their own deaths so they can operate off the grid.
6 Underground is available to stream on Netflix now.
