Vin Diesel returns in the first trailer for xXx: Return of Xander Cage
Samuel L Jackson and Brit UFC champ Michael Bisping also on board for the all-action sequel set for January 2017 release
Vin Diesel's butt-kicking agent Xander cage is back in the third xXx movie - and here's the first all-action trailer.
xXx: Return of Xander Cage is Diesel's first outing as the all-action government operative since the 2002 original xXx, where he starred as an extreme sports athlete-turned government agent.
Diesel took a pass on the 2005 sequel xXx: The Next Level (or xXx: State of the Union as it was called in the US and Canada) with rapper Ice Cube taking the starring role.
And so did the majority of cinema-goers.
But happily this third installment sees Cage come out of self-imposed exile to battle warrior Xiang (Donnie Yen) and his army who've stolen an unstoppable weapon known as Pandora's Box.
Xander then needs to recruit his own team to tackle Xiang's heavily armed fighters.
But who really cares about the plot? What you really need to know is that once again it's Diesel beating up bad guys, blowing stuff up and making wisecracks while his clothing struggles to contain those bulging pecs.
Samuel L Jackson returns as Cage's handler, Agent Augustus Gibbons and he's joined by Toni Collette, Orange is the New Black's Ruby Rose and Britain's UFC champ Michael Bisping.
Bisping bagged the part of tough guy - what else? - Hawk after UFC's biggest box office draw Connor McGregor pulled out.
xXx: Return of Xander Cage will come crash landing through the roof of your cinema in January 2017 and we can't wait.
