Matt Damon battles monsters in the first trailer for action epic The Great Wall
Willem Dafoe also stars in the $135million historical fantasy filmed entirely in China
HERE'S your first look at Matt Damon's new action epic Great Wall.
Directed by House of Flying Daggers' Zhang Yimou it tells the story of the building of the Great Wall of China, with a difference.
That difference being barely seen monsters that scale the Wall to drag terrified soldiers to their deaths.
Also starring Willem Dafoe and Game of Throne's Pedro Pascal, The Great Wall is said to be the biggest American/Chinese film collaboration ever and the most expensive movie shot completely in China, with a budget of $135million.
Director Yimou told Entertainment Weekly, "The film takes place about 1000 years ago. The fantasy element does play a major role because of the monsters."
"But what makes our film unique is that these are ancient Chinese monsters."
And that's pretty much all that anyone knows at the moment, except for the release date.
The Great Wall hits UK cinemas on February 24, 2017.
