'wish he was here'

Love Island’s Shaughna Phillips sent sign from late dad Edward as she says he’s with her ‘every step of the way’

LOVE Island’s Shaughna Phillips is convinced her late dad Edward sent her a sign when she was given a teddy bear bearing his name.

The 25-year-old was delighted by the gift, because she felt it meant her dad – who died from cancer in December 2016 – was near her.

She told her followers:  “I received this lovely teddy bear with my flowers, whose name is Edward (my dad’s name).

“I love little signs like this.”

The star continued: “I wish my dad was here, but I know he’s with me every step of the way.”

She was particularly taken with what it said inside the card – “Please love me as much as I will love you for years to come.”

Shaughna opened up about her dad Eddie’s death at the time –  telling her friends and followers: “My brave, amazing daddy passed away this morning at 5:35am.
