Love Island’s Demi and Luke M split after three months apart in lockdown

LOVE Island’s Demi Jones and Luke Mabbott have split up, The Sun Online can exclusively reveal .

The Justin Bieber look-alike coupled up with Demi, 21, during the show's winter series which ended in February of this year.

While they spent lots of time together after the show ended, the coronavirus pandemic forced them apart.

Now after three months of separation they have called time on their whirlwind romance.

A source exclusively tells The Sun Online: "It's no huge drama - they're just better off as friends.

"They had a good run but they have split for good."

The source added: "There’s been no cheating or drama they just drifted apart - he’s looking forward to lockdown being over and making the most of his new single status."

The couple got together in the villa after Nas dumped Demi for Eva in Casa Amor.

Shaughna tried to throw a spanner in the works when she made a play for Luke M after she was dumped by Callum.

But he had already formed a strong bond with Demi and they went on to finish in third place at the final in February.

But five weeks later they went into lockdown 312 miles apart with Demi living down south in Portsmouth, and Luke in the seaside town of Redcar in the north east.

Demi's PR didn't reply to a request for comment and Luke's PR had no comment.

Lockdown has been bad for romance after the first series of winter Love Island and earlier this week Ched and Jess revealed they have split.

Meanwhile, Siânnise Fudge and Luke Trotman are still very much a couple and have just moved in to their first home together.

The show's winners Paige Turley and Finn Tapp are also still together and enjoying lockdown together in Scotland.
