CALLUM Macleod is the first Islander to be dumped from the villa - after just five days.
Love Island viewers are heartbroken as the Welshman, 28, became the first casualty of this year’s series after his partner Amber Gill dumped him for Anton Danyluk.
Meanwhile, Amy Hart chose to couple up with Curtis Pritchard while Molly-Mae Hague picked Tommy Fury.
Lucie Donlan picked Joe Garratt, Yewande Biala picked Michael Griffiths and Anna Vakili stayed true to Sherif Lanre.
Callum said after getting the axe: "I came here to find my wife and obviously I have not found her but I'm still young so hopefully I'll find her very soon."
Taking to Twitter after the recoupling, viewers voiced their distress over losing Callum so soon.
Tonight we reported that Callum quit his high-flying job as an aircraft engineer for his place on the reality show – before getting kicked out the villa after less than a week.
Callum revealed he made a difficult decision before going on the ITV2 series – giving up his position at work in pursuit of finding love.
In an interview he told The Sun: “I had to hand my notice in. I’ve got my trade and my apprenticeship so I would apply elsewhere.
“It was a really hard decision but you only get one life.
“I applied for a sabbatical but it got rejected in the end, on my section they couldn’t justify the career break.
“I left on good terms. My Managing Director knew I was going on Love Island and he loves the show. He did say to go for it.
“In my job we service aircraft engines; an airline will send us their engine and we will charge them to service it, like a car with a MOT.
“In my head I have thought long-term that I will go back into the industry, that’s the plan.”
This isn't the first time Callum has been rejected on a reality TV show.
The hunk appeared on the last series of Celebs Go Dating – but failed to secure a date with any of the female stars.
He revealed: "I went on Celebs – but I didn’t date anyone.
"I went to the mixer but didn’t get picked. Georgia from Love Island was there, Kerry Katona, it was the most recent one. I was only on actual TV for a second."
Callum said his mates predicted he would be the first to go and is "gutted" now it’s a reality.
Speaking after getting the boot, he said: "I hold my hands up and say I was gutted to leave, but if they asked me to go back in I would, straightaway. I loved every single minute of it.
"I didn’t go in with a game plan, I was going in there to meet someone. It’s pot luck in a way.
"If someone walks in that you have a connection with, you’re onto a winner, but if they don’t I wasn’t going to fake it with anyone just to say in the villa, because I don’t think that’s fair on the person."
