Love Island fans joke Joe has returned to the villa ‘to stalk Lucie’ as they spot random crew member lurking in the bushes

LOVE Island fans joked Joe Garratt has returned to the villa 'to stalk Lucie' as they spotted random crew member lurking in the bushes.

The star was voted out of the show earlier this week - leaving Lucie Donlan devastated.

And now eagle-eyed fans reckon they have seen Joe back in after he was evicted - hanging out by the pool.

They bantered on Instagram: "Joe tomorrow after getting voted out."

Another wrote: "This will be Joe in 24 hours."

Fans thought the sandwich maker, 22, was controlling in some clips that were shown on the ITV2 show and Women's Aid praised Love Island viewers for concerns over Joe’s ‘unhealthy behaviour’ towards Lucie.

Over 300 people complained to Ofcom about the scenes.

But yesterday in an exclusive chat with the Sun Online, Joe refused to apologise for his 'controlling' behaviour in the villa.

Speaking for the first time exclusively to The Sun, he insisted he was heartbroken after learning horrified viewers had condemned his actions – and has blamed it on his “heightened” emotions in the villa.

After arriving back in the UK the reality star attempted to defend his behaviour despite hundreds of formal complaints and a raft of criticism from abuse charities.

But in a desperate bid to hit back, Joe blasted: “I didn’t manipulate or abuse her.

“I am gutted that it has been perceived in that way because it wasn’t like that at all.

“I always had Lucie’s best interests at heart and I promise you I would do everything and anything to help her because she had a hard time in there and didn’t get on with the girls. I was trying to help her and make her experience as amazing as possible. I thought I did right.”
