Yewande’s ‘smart and sexy’ personality is not being shown by Love Island bosses, Elma claims – as fans fear she’ll be dumped out of villa tonight
LOVE Island's Yewande Biala's personality is not being properly shown by show bosses, claims dumped islander Elma Pazar.
The 26-year-old eyelash technician discussed the ongoing love-triangle between the scientist, Danny Williams and Arabella Chi during a chat on last night's Aftersun.
Show host Caroline Flack quizzed: "What do you think of the Danny/Yewande/Arabella love triangle?"
Elma replied: "You know what? Living with Yewande, living with Danny - I love Yewande.
"She has got so much personality, that I don't even know if it's all being shown. She is so smart, it's sexy. She starts talking and you're just like, tell me more.
"You've just got to wait for her to warm up a little bit, so I am routing for her and Danny because they were so sweet when they were together and it's just a shame that's it not going that way at the minute. I just think that Danny is probably showing his age a little bit."
Love Island fans have taken to social media to voice their concerns following Elma's revelation that she thought Yewande wasn't getting enough air time.
One wrote: "Love island show you what they want you to see. On aftersun, elma said yewande has the most personality in them but @LoveIsland does not want to show it. Same thing Callum said."
Another commented: "Elma said on After the Sun that Yewande has a big personality and the ways she is smart is sexy. Her saying that just shows that producers aren’t showing her true personality."
This isn't the first time that the show has been rocked by complaints to the regulator this series either.
Love Island 2019 has received over 1,233 complaints as of June 17.
According to reports, fans were left worried for Lucie Donlan’s safety, branding her coupled-up partner Joe as controlling and unstable.
In one episode of Love Island, Joe told Lucie that she needed to make more of an effort in spending time with the other girls.
His delivery was deemed as “disturbing” by some fans, who felt as if Lucie couldn’t find her true happiness in the villa until she was rid of the sandwich maker.
Meanwhile, Maura Higgin’s flirtatious arrival at the villa certainly didn’t go unnoticed.
Certain viewers felt as if the grid girl was sexually harassing boxer Tommy Fury, adding that she overstepped her boundaries on multiple occasions.
And Love Island fans have previously complained that Yewande was getting "zero screen time" amid racism rows.
This came after she was picked last during the first recoupling ceremony, with Curtis Pritchard picking Amy Hart over her, leaving her to be coupled with Michael Griffiths by default.
And she hasn't had the easiest time in the villa lately either, as Danny, who she is coupled up with, recently got his head turned by newcomer Arabella.
However, during last night's episode of Aftersun, Maura received a text informing the islanders of a shock dumping that will see one of the girl leave the villa tonight.
She said: "The boys will choose and the girl not picked will be dumped from the island."
In the beach hut, Danny, who's been part of a love triangle with new girl Arabella and Yewande, explained: "I've got to make a decision. I've got to disappoint one girl. Whoever I don't couple up with has to leave tonight."
Love Island returns tonight at 9PM on ITV2.
