But can you cast your minds back to the original couples? We'll forgive you for forgetting that Anton and Amy were paired up (yes, really). Don't worry, we've got a little reminder to jog your memory...

Who entered the villa on day one?

Let us take you on a trip down memory lane with a reminder of the original cast...

Amber Gill - Love Island 2019 winner

Winner Amber was the only original cast member to make it to the final before she scooped the top spot.

The 21-year-old beauty therapist rates herself a ten out of ten but “not in a cocky way”.

She has met former Islanders Adam Collard and Ellie Brown during nights out on the Toon in Newcastle and has vowed never to use a dating app.

Amber has been cheated on "several times" but warns: "I'm not as naive as I was then."

Lucie Donlan - Out

Following Joe Garratt's elimination from the show, Lucie Donlan never really managed to find a handsome fella in the villa that she connected with as much as she did with the sandwich maker.

And given that crush Tommy Fury had moved on with Molly-Mae, her chances of coupling up and making it to the final appeared slimmer by the day.

After getting together with George Rains, Lucie stressed that she wasn't feeling her Island partner because they didn't have much in common.

She was consequently booted off in the sixth week.

Amy Hart - Walked out

Air hostess Amy from Sussex was happily coupled up with Curtis Pritchard before being sent off to Casa Amor.

The 26-year-old, who once met One Direction hunk Liam Payne on a night out, was left heartbroken after the dancer's head was turned by new arrival Jourdan Riane.

She walked from the house after having to see Islander Maura Higgins make a play for her former beau.

Amy had been declaring her love for the ballroom hunk while he was vying for Jourdan's attention.

A source close to Amy said: "It was Amy's decision to walk from the villa...

"She fell in love, had her heart broken and couldn't stand the thought of seeing Curtis crack on with other girls while under the same roof as her."

Yewande Biala - Out

Yewande Biala lost her place on the show in episode 19.

During an intense recoupling showdown, Yewande was not chosen by any of the guys while Danny Williams opted to save Arabella Chi.

The love triangle between the three contestants had finally come to an end, but it appeared that sending Yewande home was devastatingly hard for Danny, who had shared that he simply made the decision based on his connection with both ladies.

Joe Garratt - Out

While fans initially assumed that Joe Garratt was going to win the series with Lucie Donlan, his "controlling" behaviour towards the surfer left viewers concerned.

Because the public had a helping hand in deciding who was going to get kicked off in episode 14, following the villa's vote on who was the least compatible couple, Joe and Lucie and Elma Pazar and Anton Danyluk were the chosen ones.

Caroline then informed the Islanders that one person in each couple was going to be leaving the villa, with Joe going instead of Lucie.

Sherif Lanre - Kicked out

Sherif is a 20-year-old chef and semi-professional rugby player from London.
He was determined to find a girl, who would be loyal and insisted being faithful is an “absolute must”.
What’s more, he revealed he can't take anything seriously and has a "pretty ugly" laugh.

On June 11, The Sun exclusively announced he had been removed from the villa for breaking the rules.

Of his shock exit, Sherif said: "In a case of poor judgment, I broke the villa rules and as a result agreed with the producers that it was best for me to leave the villa.

"I regret that I didn’t conduct myself in the right way and, as a 20 year old guy, it’s something I know I will take on board and learn from.

"I really enjoyed my time in the villa and look forward to catching up with everyone on the outside."

He later revealed to the The Sun on Sunday he had been kicked out for crudely joking "that's a c*** punt" after he accidentally kicked Molly-Mae Hague in the crotch during a play fight.

Callum MacLeod - Out

Callum MacLeod suffered an early exit before he could really make an impression on ITV2 fans.
The 28-year-old was forced to pack up his belongings and leave the lavish compound just hours after making his arrival.

Of his elimination, he said: “It’s unfortunate that I didn’t meet anyone that I connected with but I had such good fun in there.

“Even though I didn’t meet anyone that I could potentially be with on the outside, I loved it, which is a great bonus.”

The hunk later appeared on the first Love Island: Aftersun, which is hosted by Caroline Flack, to discuss his time in the villa.

Michael Griffiths - Out

The Liverpudlian native was looking to save hearts in the villa, as the firefighter had boasted about his risqué job.

He said: “I’m a hero! I’m a firefighter, who doesn’t want their own firefighter? Their own local hero."
Also, the 27-year-old muscle man rates himself a ten out of ten (confident much?). He added: "I would have said nine but I'm a hero so it bumps it up."

In Episode 42 on Sunday, July 22, Michael's fellow Islanders voted for him and Francesca to be eliminated after making the public's bottom three.

Anna Vakili - Out

The 28-year-old pharmacist from London found fame earlier this year when she made the news in Iran.

Spilling all, she said the cameras started rolling “when my sister and I were away in Qatar with two Iranian footballers".

She saw her followers on Instagram skyrocket overnight, as the footballers have huge following on social media.

The pharmacist was dumped from the villa in week eight, along with her former boyfriend Jordan Hames.

Anton Danyluk- Out

Gym owner Anton is a certainly a poster boy for his business, with his toned abs, and said he wanted to find a Margot Robbie lookalike.

The 24-year-old Scotsman described himself as funny, hard-working and motivated, however, he has a few bad habits.

Some of his less impressive traits include being moody and an over-thinker.

He was eliminated from the competition just hours after the Islanders got to see their family again.

Who were the first couples?

It's hard to remember the first loves of the villa as a lot has happened since then.

So prepare yourselves for a shock when you re-visit the initial romances back at the beginning.

Cast your minds back to the beginning and do you remember the beautiful pairing of  Amy Hart and Anton Danyluk?

No? It took us a minute too!

Amy stepped forward for the hunky Scotsman when he became the first man to enter the villa.

But things turned sour when Anton quickly admitted that he also wanted to get to know fellow Islander Lucie Donlan.

Though it started to look up for the former air-stewardess who was swept off her feet by dancer Curtis Pritchard who arrived the following day.

Amy and Curtis became Love Island 2019 staples as the steady "mum and dad" of the villa and let's not forget them labelling each other "half boyfriend and girlfriend" within just days of meeting.

However, it all went wrong following the show's iconic Casa Amor twist, with Amy's heart getting broken when the 23-year-old professional dancer confessed that his head had been turned while she was away.

After getting dumped by Curtis, Amy opted to quit the show to protect her mental health.

Curtis has since moved on with Irish beauty Maura Higgins.

Casa Amor wasn't quite so disastrous for Anton, with the hunk finally finding love with Belle Hassan.

AMBER AND CALLUM

Picky Amber Gill settled for Callum MacLeod, the first dumpee of this year's series, after not being wowed by the initial selection of lads.

Though she was quick to air her dissatisfaction with Callum, even calling him "boring.";

Amber coupled up with single boy Anton during the show's first recoupling, leading to Callum being dumped from the villa.

The beauty's time on the show ever since hasn't been smoothe, let's say.

After seeming to find love with firefighter Michael Griffiths who she ominously declared  seemed like the sort of boy who'd "break her heart" - she fell pretty hard.

But he lived up to - or should we say down to - her expectations, and devastated the Geordie lass when he moved on with Joanna Chimonides while she had remained loyal to him at Casa Amor.

Michael was quickly slammed by fans for "gaslighting" Amber as he blamed her "childish" and "pathetic" behaviour for his disloyalty, and it all came to a head when Joanna was dumped from the Island last week.

Their fellow Islanders were forced to split Michael and Joanna up as they chose who they wanted to save, with Michael facing backlash when he later treated Amber "like a dog" as he established that he didn't have feelings for her - even though he refused to leave the show with Joanna.

However, in a shock twist Michael confessed that he did still have feelings for Amber - but that wasn't enough to stop Amber from moving on with new lad Greg O'Shea.

YEWANDE AND MICHAEL

Michael didn't have such a cocky start to his time in the villa as he was initially coupled up with Lucie before being dumped moments later when Joe Garratt entered the villa.

And after being backbenched, Michael was then left with Yewande Biala by default, with the pair forming the first friendship couple of the series.

He soon started to crack on with Amber, kickstarting all of the ensuing drama, whereas Yewande hoped to be picked by Curtis only for him to choose Amy.

She then got swept off her feet by bombshell Danny Williams, although when he grew fed up with her never expressing her feelings or showing him any affection he moved on with model Arabella Chi.

As a result, Yewande was dumped from the Island - and she hasn't been shy in expressing her outrage about Danny's behaviour on the outside.

ANNA AND SHERIF

Anna Vakili didn't step forward for any of the boys on the first day, so ended up being coupled up with Sherif Lanre by default.

However, after sharing a few snogs their blossoming romance was cut short just one week later when it was announced that Sherif had been sensationally removed from the villa after breaking Love Island rules - leaving Anna without a love interest.

But then bombshell Jordan Hames joined the show and things quickly heated up.

That is until Casa Amor when she chose to ditch Jordan in favour of Casa Amor hunk Ovie Soko.

She was stunned when she returned to the villa to discover that Jordan had remained loyal and the 24-year-old model proved his worth as he grafted to win Anna back, with the beauty eventually ditching Ovie and falling back into her former flame's arms.

After their relationship went from strength to strength as Jordan asked Anna to be his girlfriend... only to express an interest in newgirl India days later.

LUCIE AND JOE

Lucie was briefly coupled up with bad boy Michael after stepping forward for him.

However she quickly ditched him moments later when sandwich maker Joe entered the villa.

Things got complicated when boxer Tommy Fury arrived and set his sights on the surfer - leading to the dreaded love triangle.

But it was Joe who Lucie decided to remain coupled up with until he was voted out by the public.

Who is now in the villa that wasn't there at the beginning?

It's been a long road with lots of twists and turns so far and not to mention a few new faces along the way.

Here are the later additions to the villa who made it to the final...

India Reynolds is a 28-year-old model from Reading

India came in third place alongside her beau Ovie.

The 28-year-old glamour model from Reading, who has appeared on Page 3, is also a talented chef.

She amassed more than 265,000 followers on Instagram prior to joining the series.

India Reynolds gave herself a modest seven out of 10 for looks, despite being a professional model.

According to her, her strongest attributes include having a kind, caring and chatty personality.

Greg O Shea is a professional rugby player from Limerick

Greg O'Shea

Hunky Greg may have came in late but that didn't stop him winning alongside Amber Gill.

The 24-year-old professional rugby player from Limerick has been single for the past year.

Being an Irishman, Greg O'Shea reckoned he'd “bring a different edge to the villa so I’m looking forward to bringing that”.

But he doesn't tolerate girls who are cocky and arrogant, as those are two of his pet hates.

When asked what his type on paper is, he said: “I want a girl who backs herself and someone who lives a positive lifestyle."

And he seems to have found that with Amber Gill who he is now coupled up with.

Ovie Soko

Ovie managed to secure the third spot in the final alongside India.

Ovie is a 28-year-old professional basketball player from London.

He says that, despite being a solid 8 out of 10 in the looks department, Ovie also has a fun personality that people are just naturally attracted to.

And in terms of loyalty, Ovie says that he’ll be loyal to those he has an interest in, but he’ll definitely not be playing games by leading girls on to think there’s a substantial connection between them when it’s the exact opposite.

Ovie and India are enjoying the early stages of a romance after becoming one of the last pairs to couple up.

Maura Higgins

Maura and Curtis came fourth in the final on July 29, 2019.

The stunning model is a grid girl from County Longford, Ireland, who has admitted to going to the "extreme" when it comes to guys.

"I’d go extreme," she said. "It can obviously be hard because you could be really close with one of the girls but you’re in there to find love at the end of the day."

Maura, whose relationship with Tom Walker hit the rocks before it even started, starred in Liam Payne's music video, Get Low, in 2017.

She has also worked with lots of athletes throughout her modelling career but looks to have found love with dancer Curtis Pritchard now.

Tommy and Molly-Mae were runner-ups to Amber and Greg despite previously being the bookies' favourites.

Professional boxer Tommy is related to boxing legend Tyson Fury.

He considers himself a “loyal guy down to the roots”, who likes a “confident girl”.

And he's now the boyfriend of Molly-Mae Hague- and has not had his head turned at all, despite Lucie Donlan's declarations.

Curtis Pritchard

Maura and Curtis came fourth in the final on July 29, 2019.

Love was on the cards for 24-year-old ballroom professional Curtis Pritchard, when he coupled up with Amy Hart.

However, after dumping the former air hostess he formed a connection with Maura, who he is now coupled up with.

Strictly Come Dancing’s AJ Pritchard’s younger brother was the first contestant to be confirmed for the show.

He has hopes of one day appearing on the BBC series like his sibling and said he has lived a “sheltered life” due to his career as a dancer.

Molly-Mae Hague

Tommy and Molly-Mae were runner-ups to Amber and Greg despite previously being the bookies' favourites.

Molly-Mae, 20, is a social media influencer and notwithstanding her young age, she’s definitely doing something right to be travelling the world as much as she does.

Plus the beauty is also a YouTuber with more than 100,000 subscribers to boot.

Since entering the villa Molly found herself caught up in a dreaded love triangle between Tommy Fury and Danny Williams.

But it was ultimately the boxer who packed the ultimate punch as they have gone from strength to strength and are now officially boyfriend and girlfriend.
