LOVE Island's Georgia Harrison has revealed her heartbroken final messages with tragic pal Mike Thalassitis.

Her late friend was clearly playing on Georgia's mind ahead of last night's Love Island final, with the 23-year-old star taking to Instagram to share her grief.

The pair formed a close friendship when they both appeared in the 2017 series of the ITV2 dating show, and Georgia was left devastated when Mike took his own life in March of this year at the age of 26.

Sharing a photo of Mike to her Instagram Story, Georgia wrote: "Thinking about you a lot today, boy.

"Wish I could turn back time and just have a chat with you and work through it."

She went on to recall the last time they saw each other - and her regret that she didn't do more.

Georgia explained: "You were so positive last time I saw you, we were loving the magic and I thought you were all good but I really regret that I had to leave that night because if we had stayed out longer you might have opened up more."

The TV beauty went on to share a screenshot of her final conversation with Mike, which was via Instagram direct messages.

She had randomly messaged him just two weeks before his death after getting "weird anxiety" about his well-being.

In the chat, Georgia asked: "How are you xx".

Mike replied: "Alright Georgia, yeah good, you?"

She responded: "Goooood! Was just thinking of you.

"You have a new cafe, how exciting!!!! I'm coming down soon as you're open."

Appearing optimistic for the future, Mike wrote back: "Yeaaa, make sure! How you been anyway?"

Opening up about the conversation, Georgia captioned the grab: "I messaged you this day because I had a feeling I should check on you.

"It was like I got this weird sense of anxiety about you and I thought I need to message him ASAP.

"But you acted like everything was fine."

Fellow 2017 Islander Montana Brown previously shared her regret at not replying to Mike's final text message.

Breaking down during a TV appearance shortly after Mike's death, Montana wept: "I spoke to him two days before. But I’m kicking myself because he text me but I didn’t actually reply.

"I’m really bad on my phone. I wish I had replied."

Sobbing, Montana added: "He just said: ‘How is it going girl, how are you?' I didn’t reply."
