Love Island’s Greg gives a thumbs-up as he gets a late-night taxi home with Maura just hours after dumping Amber
LOVE Island's Greg O'Shea gave a thumbs-up as he got a late-night taxi home with Maura Higgins just hours after dumping Amber Gill by text.
The 2019 champs split just after just five weeks, with the pair struggling to make their long-distance romance worked.
Since the ITV2 dating show ended, Amber has been busy with work commitments up and down the country while rugby player Greg remained in his native Ireland.
The 24-year-old hunk reunited with fellow Irish islander Maura last night as the pair appeared on RTE One's Late Late Show in Dublin together.
The two then headed to No 37 Dawson Street with some pals - including Maura's partner Curtis Pritchard - where they left in a taxi together.
Greg seemed unfazed by his recent split, giving a thumbs up as he left the club in the early hours.
The reality star looked dapper in a grey, checked three-piece suit over a dark blue shirt.
Meanwhile, 28-year-old Maura looked sensational in a canary yellow belted suit, which teased a hint of cleavage.
The former grid girl shared a photo from her and Greg's TV appearance to her Instagram Story, posing backstage alongside the star, Curtis, and singer Lewis Capaldi who also appeared.
On the programme, Greg insisted that he had no regrets about his romance with Amber as he heaped praised on the TV favourite.
He explained: "We're mad about each other, what's not to be mad about? She's gorgeous, smart funny, she's the Queen of Love Island for a reason but you need to be realistic about the situation.
"She lives in the UK, every brand wants to work with her, every event wants her there, of course she deserves all of it and I decided to come back to Ireland and do my thing here.
"I'm trying to get to the Olympics with the sevens team, I've got my law exams coming up so we're both so jam-packed busy and you need to take these opportunities by the scruff of the neck.
"So we're kind of just being realistic about the situation and protecting our careers and that's where we are at the moment."
Greg had been booked to appear on the show with his ex.
Amber, 22, was due to travel over to Ireland in order to make the appearance with him.
But after their split Amber has remained in the UK and is spending time in London with her best friend Anna Vakili.
They enjoyed a girls' night with Anna's sister Mandi and Yewande Biala.
The girls got in their pyjamas and tucked into nachos with all the trimmings.
Yesterday, The Sun Online exclusively revealed yesterday that Amber had been left devastated when Greg ended their romance over the phone.
An insider told us: "Amber is devastated, she thought he was a lovely guy, but he's made his feelings clear over text, which isn't very sensitive.
"She had a feeling he was going to make decision to end things but only because she'd been hearing things.
"He hadn't the decency to tell her himself until she confronted the issue.
"They had a lovely weekend in Dublin planned but he's just pulled the plug and left her wounded.

Fans had previously shared their fear that Amber and Greg had split up after noticing they'd spent weeks apart on social media.
They won the public over on the show after being together for only 12 days, but they never made their relationship official in the outside world.
