Anton said there’s still chemistry between him and Belle despite their split

Fans were shocked when Love Island favourites Anton, and Tamer Hassan’s daughter Belle called time on their romance earlier this month.

But in a candid chat with the Sun Online as he announced his role as an ambassador for World Merit, Anton revealed how he really felt about the beauty, saying: “There will always be something there between me and Belle.

“No matter if I marry someone else. I’ll never have an experience like what I had with Belle in that place, and I’ll love and respect her for that always.”

Anton, 24, added: “But we still make sure we speak to each other everyday, which is really really nice that we can keep up that friendship, and who knows in the future what it might lead to.”

He said there was no-one like her and they still speak everyday

He spoke about how it was difficult to keep their relationship going when they left the villa.

Anton, who has just become a World Merit Ambassador for United Nations Sustainable Development Goal to promote Good Health and Wellbeing, said: “The love thing, well obviously I met Belle in the show and had an amazing experience with her.

“I speak to Belle every single day. Myself and her are very good friends now.

“The thing I was always sceptical about was the relationship because we had gone from spending literally 24 hours a day with each other to then being lucky if we saw each other once a month. I’m never in the same city for more than one day at the minute. So it’s absolute madness.”

He didn’t rule out getting back together in the future

Anton explained their decision to call it a day, saying: He said: “We came out of the villa. Obviously we went through an amazing experience in there.

“Nothing really happened. I’ve seen Belle about three times in six weeks. There’s been times when we didn’t speak for 3 days because we had literally been so busy.

“So I wouldn’t say anything happened, it’s just been really hard to make a relationship work. It’s effectively a long distance relationship.”

Speaking about the chemistry between them he said: “There will always be something there with Belle because of what we went through together.

“Like I said, once our schedules quieten down a little bit, who knows what the future holds.”

Anton hinted this was not the end, and when asked if he believed in second chances he said: “Most definitely.”

Anton praised his mum for getting him into fitness when he was younger

For now Anton is putting his focus into his other passion –  helping kids to keep fit by teaming up with .

He said: “I’m so happy to be working with world merit because fitness is my passion. If I can help children get healthy and fit then that’s my absolute goal.

“When I was a teen I used to be overweight, and I used to miss Wednesdays off school because that was swimming day. I didn’t want to take my shirt off. My mum noticed this and got me into the gym. I haven’t looked back since. I started to go to school on Wednesdays again because I was alright with taking my shirt off.

“It’s great for mental health too so that’s so important. I hope I can use my platform from Love Island to do this.”

‘The Ranch’ gym owner said he looked forward to working with kids to help them get fit as he collaborated with World Merit
