A deadly breed of spider which gives bite victims painful ERECTIONS could have made it to the UK
The awful arachnid is capable of smuggling its way across the globe by hiding in shipments of bananas
ARACHNOPHOBES beware - a deadly breed of spider may have made its way to the UK, and you'll be scared stiff when you hear what its bite does.
The Brazilian Wandering Spider can grow to have a six inch leg span, and is known to stand on its back legs as it prepares to sink its deadly fangs into passing prey.
But that's not even the worst thing about this chilling critter, since its bite has a cringe-inducing side effect for any men unlucky enough to get bitten.
As well as injecting a potentially fatal poison, the spider's bite can cause its victims to suffer from extremely painful erections, which can last for up to four hours.
The critter, which is officially the world's most venomous spider, can also cause cramps, hypothermia, vertigo, blurred vision, intense sweating and convulsions as a result of its bite.
That's assuming you survive the excruciating erection however, with the spider's deadly venom known to kill its victims in just two hours.
And if you're cringing at the thought of ever encountering a Wandering Spider then there's some seriously bad news - the creature may have made its way to the UK.
The nocturnal spider is commonly found prowling the streets of Brazil, where it shelters in houses during the day, before heading out to hunt in the darkness of night.
But the awful arachnid, which is also known as the Banana Spider, is capable of smuggling its way across the globe by hiding in shipments of the fruit.
The creature isn't all bad though, as experts hope a cure for erectile dysfunction could be found in its venom.
Researchers are currently investigating the toxic substance to see if they can extract chemicals which could help struggling men to reclaim their libido.
But, until then, you'd be wise to look out for the spider in your supermarket bananas, and avoid the eight-legged beast at all costs.
