The Black Friday 2016 discounts that you might not expect to find
MOST people think of Black Friday as the day to get a good deal on a TV or games console but, according to the experts, the best deals can be found in other products.
The people behind money saving website HotUKDeals have trawled through the best bargains bagged by its 1.5 million members over the last two years.
They found that there are bigger savings on offer across categories such as fashion, groceries and even holidays than on tech goods – on both Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Shoppers are still more likely to buy tech goods and, although these items have been discounted t00, shoppers could be missing out on deals elsewhere.
We've already brought you the best Black Friday deals from Debenhams, John Lewis, Tesco, House of Fraser, ASOS, GAME, Argos and Amazon – now it's time to get specific about the type of items you should be targeting.
By looking at some 40,000 deals bagged by their members, HotUKDeals’ creators saw massive boosts for laptops and tablets (75%), TVs and speakers (67%), and consoles and games (66%) compared to the weeks before and after Black Friday.
