FORGET your flash Ferraris and pristine Porsches - because we love the Premier League stars in reasonably priced cars.

From Raheem Sterling cruising around in a Smart car after his £49million move to Manchester City to Manchester United's Sergio Romero turning up for training in a £15,000 Fiat, these Prem aces remain down to earth despite their bumper pay packets.

Jurgen Klopp grabbed the headlines when he returned to Melwood yesterday after a health scare.

But it was Alberto Moreno who caught the eye by arriving in a £32,000 Hyundai Sante Fe 4x4 - a stark contrast to Philippe Coutinho in his £56,000 Porsche Cayenne.

Sterling splashed £12,000 on a new Smart car after joining Pep Guardiola at the Etihad.

It was some change for the former Liverpool star, who was more accustomed to turning up at the Etihad Campus in a £125,000 Mercedes.

Sterling's Man City team-mates Kyle Walker and John Stones shared a ride in a vintage Mini - and the pair clearly loved it.

The classic motor cost only £5,000 - not even pocket change for the stars on a combined wage of £250,000 a week. In fact they could buy 50 of them every week!

And Chelsea's N'Golo Kante did similar earlier this year.

He rocked up to training at Cobham in a second hand five-door Mini Cooper S - which starts at just £20,000.

And Kante has even spoken of his love for the motor before.

He said: "Me, I've never been someone who loves a car, and when I was young I didn't have the ambition of a car or something like that.

"But my Mini, for the beginning, was good to learn to drive on the left. I got it in Leicester. And I still have it now. But it's good."

Romero rocked up in a moderately priced small car at United training, shunning the usual Lamborghinis.

The 6ft 3ins back-up keeper navigated the corners leading to the AON Complex in a Fiat 500 - which costs around £15,000.

Some have avoided using their vehicles altogether, hitching rides in taxis.

Matteo Darmian did so at United, as did team-mate Anthony Martial, who got a lift in an Uber.

Their Old Trafford pal Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, on loan at Leeds, went one better - and probably saved a bit of cash - by getting his mum to drop him off.

And these stars follow a line of well-paid footballers getting the most of out old bangers.
