Jesse Lingard and Piers Morgan in Twitter war over Alexis Sanchez move to Manchester United
Lingard joked on Twitter that Sanchez wanted to join him at Old Trafford after seeing him celebrate his goal against Arsenal with 'Milly Rock' dance, but Morgan didn't see the funny side
JESSE LINGARD is locked in a social media war with Piers Morgan after the TV host and Arsenal fan gave him a savage kicking over Alexis Sanchez's swap move to Manchester United.
Lingard uploaded a snap to Instagram of him pretending to talk on the phone to his new Red Devils team-mate before the Chilean's move to Old Trafford was completed yesterday.
He wrote on the caption: “Hello, is that Alexis Sanchez…welcome to Manchester United. I knew you wanted to come Milly Rock with the Mandem. Manchesterunited#JLingz”.
The post could have been referring to Lingard's celebration after scoring in United's smash and grab 3-1 win at Arsenal in December, when he performed the dance to rap song Milly Rock.
But after seeing the post, Morgan suggested Lingard shouldn't be so excited about Sanchez's arrival.
He stormed: “He’s taking your place sunshine, enjoy the bench.”
But Lingard didn't let it rest there and hit back with another tweet of his own.
He wrote, "Yo Piers, you wanna come out here", with and image of a man dancing.

The England international has made a strong claim for a place in Jose Mourinho's starting XI with 11 goals this season.
But Morgan is right that he will be fighting for a slot against Sanchez, who is set to play in one of the two attacking roles behind Romelu Lukaku.
Lingard is enjoying a break in Spain after being given time off by Jose Mourinho following the 1-0 win at Burnley on Saturday.
He jetted off to see lover Jena Frumes, who had flown in from her home in Los Angeles.
She uploaded a snap of herself on the plane on Instagram and wrote: “Grateful. Can’t wait to see you.”
And yesterday the model posted a snap relaxing by the sea in Spain and said: “Fill your life with adventures..”
Lingard – dressed head-to-toe in Gucci – posted a snap relaxing in the couple’s hotel and told fans: “Relajado En Barcelona.”
Jena, 24, has been dating Jesse for around a year and recently flew to the UK to celebrate the star’s 25th birthday.
