We have boiled it down to the top 20 highest scoring players to have graced the Dream Team game for the last 24 years.

Without further ado, let me introduce you to the cream of the crop.

20 Sol Campbell, 1614pts

21

Just makes the cut with 1614 points from his time bossing defences at Spurs, Arsenal, Portsmouth and Newcastle.

19 Andy Cole, 1616pts

21

The legendary striker enters the hall of fame with 1616 points, as you know it's his goals that put him in this list.

17= Nicolas Anelka, 1628pts

21

The French hitman racked up 1628 points during his time in the Premier League and shares his spot with another former Arsenal man.

17= Cesc Fabregas 1628pts**

21

Fabregas is the first of five players in the top 20 who are still racking up points, he built the foundation at Arsenal and has significantly added to it at Chelsea.

16 Michael Owen, 1670pts

21

Obviously bursting onto the scene aged 17 meant Owen had a lot of time to pick up all 1670 points, helps when you score loads and loads of goals.

15 Robin Van Persie, 1687pts

21

One inclusion that might surprise a few but eight seasons at Arsenal and three more at United is more than enough for a striker of his level to make his way into the top 20.

14 Sami Hyypia, 1789pts

21

Now I know you weren't expecting to see this name in here. But that's the beauty of it, longstanding defenders scooped up just as many points as their more glamorous attacking peers.

13 Sergio Aguero, 1820pts**

21

It's a big jump from Van Persie to Aguero, but the Argentine has been one of the most lethal finishers in the game in his seven seasons with Man City and has become accustomed to huge points hauls - could still climb up this list further.

12 Jermain Defoe, 1853pts**

21

Defoe has been one of most relentlessly consistent Premier League strikers post-millennium, could be overtaken by Aguero before the season is out.

11 Gareth Barry, 1970pts**

21

It makes sense when you have played the most Premier League games you would be in the top 20 just by the sheer weight of volume.

10 Paul Scholes, 2010pts

21

Goals, assists, star man, absolute footballing legend, what more do you want?

9 Alan Shearer, 2110pts

21

Yes he is the Premier League record goalscorer but unfortunately Dream Team didn't start until 1994 and that's what we're talking about here.

8 Thierry Henry, 2124pts

21

Another goalscorer extraordinaire who will stay above Shearer by 14pts for the rest of eternity.

7 Rio Ferdinand, 2266pts

21

The majority of Rio's points came during his time at United but he will have garnered a fair few in his years at West Ham and Leeds.

6 Jamie Carragher, 2340pts

21

Still not the highest scoring defender in the list but longevity definitely helps as you will see.

5 Ryan Giggs, 2380pts

21

This surprised me when I saw Giggs down in 5th, but over 600 appearances for United has brought a lot of points.

4 John Terry, 3078pts

21

There is a significant gap between Terry and Giggs which shows just how good he has been for an extended period - could add to this tally if Villa get promotion.

3 Steven Gerrard, 3018pts

21

Captain fantastic Gerrard deserves every one of these 3018 points and rightly makes it into the Dream Team top three.

2 Wayne Rooney, 3143pts**

21

Goals, goals, goals and more goals, another early starter who is still bringing in those sweet fantasy points. Unfortunately is unlikely to ever catch the record point scorer since records began.

Drum roll please...

1 Frank Lampard, 3627pts

21

That's right, the Chelsea midfielder was a goal, assist and star man machine during his 19 Premier League seasons.

Continually scored points throughout his career and looks like he may have set a tally that will never be beaten.

Congratulations Lamps.
