HYROX athlete Alexander Roncevic became the world champion of the grueling competition.

Who is Alexander Roncevic?
The teacher from Austria would spend his evenings after work training and even appeared on Ninja Warrior in his home country.
In 2022, his coach Tiago Lousa said that he "quickly realised his potential" after accepting to train him up.
After qualifying for the Elite category in the competition, he embarked on a specifically-designed training programme.

In 2023 he won the Elite Male Vice-World Champion in Manchester before taking the Elite Male European Championships in Vienna in 2024.
In the same year, he was named the Elite Male World Champion in Nice.
In an interview with , the teacher said: "I teach primary school. Some of the teachers and some of the parents know, and they’re reaching out to me because they saw me on TV in an interview or something.
"The kids are too young to understand what’s going on, but they know that I do a lot of sports," he added.
Sharing his World Champion victory on , he wrote: "I am World Champion. That's all I ever wanted to achieve, just once in my life I wanted to be the best in the world. I did it."
Followers rushed to congratulate him, with one writing: "Amazing performance! Congrats."
A second chimed: "You showed them all what somebody can achieve if his mind is right. If you‘re ready to put in the work, day in and day out, there are no limits!!
"This was just the start," they added.
What is Hyrox?
Not for the faint-hearted, HYROX is a global competition which sees athletic veterans race alongside total newcomers.
The runners must complete a 8km event, with tough workout stations at each kilometre checkpoint.
The races take place indoors in huge exhibition halls in front of an audience.
Founded in Germany in 2017 by Christian Toetzke and Moritz Furste, HYROX has rapidly grown to become a global fitness movement, with over 90,000 athletes participating in the 2022/2023 season.

Several athletes have rocketed to fame after taking part in the sport including Celia Duff and Marc Dean.
In the 2023/24 season, the contest gave away over £235,000 in prize money.
