Who is influencer Fergus Crawley?

Fergus is very outspoken about the importance of considering men’s mental health

FERGUS Crawley is an online influencer who has become one of the biggest names in fitness.

The fitness star has founded his own training company and has launched a hit podcast.

Becoming an influencer

According to Fergus’ LinkedIn, he attended Durham University where he earned a second class philosophy degree in the upper division. 

He had a varied career before becoming an influencer, which has included working as an assistant brewer at the Liverpool Craft Beer Co and a sales manager for The Heineken Company. 

However, sport has always been one of Fergus’ main interests and he took an interest in powerlifting while studying. 

He began to excel in strength training and has become interested in a healthy way to pursue fitness.

Fergus co-founded OMNIA Performance in 2021, alongside Johnathan Pain, to help coach people in hybrid fitness, which balances both endurance and strength. 

Balancing sports and mental health

Fergus quickly began to build a big following online. 

His YouTube Channel has 120,000 subscribers where he gives fans an in-depth look into his training schedule. 

In one video, he explains why he moved away from powerlifting.

He opened up about falling out of love with the sport, as well as battling with “closedmindedness”.

Mental health is a very important subject for Fergus and he has been very open about a suicide attempt which took place in 2018. 

He has used his fitness work to raise funds and awareness for men’s mental health, which has led him to raise almost £100,000 for Movember.

The Modern Mind

Fergus has also launched his own podcast entitled The Modern Mind.

On his hit show, he interviews fellow athletes and content creators including Rick William and Matt Choi.

He also shares lessons that he has learned from his fitness career, including the six lessons about how running has changed his life.

According to Fergus’s LinkedIn, he launched the company in March 2021.
