Ashley Williams says Wales don’t need to move home matches to Cardiff’s Principality Stadium

ASHLEY WILLIAMS has dismissed calls for Wales to move their home games to the Principality Stadium.

The Dragons success at Euro 2016 led to suggestions they may have outgrown their traditional home - the Cardiff City Stadium.

The rugby venue in the middle of the city holds 74500 - more than double the capacity of their current home.

But as they prepare to face Moldova tomorrow (MON), WIlliams is keen to stay put.

Everton new boy Williams said: "This is our home ground when we play for Wales, that’s what we feel.

"We fill it out, we have had a lot of success of this pitch in recent years, we’re comfortable here,

"We don’t see the need to move to a stadium and pitch we are not as comfortable on.

The Wales squad reassembled for the first time since their Euro 2016 heroics last week.

And boss Chris Coleman greeted them with a video charting their amazing run to the last four in France, where Wales lost to eventual tournament winners Portugal.
