Ozil scored in a 2-1 friendly win over Austria on Saturday, before being taken off on 76 minutes.

However, the playmaker has struggled in the days following the game after a first-half collision with Watford centre-back Sebastian Prodl.

Ozil was seen clutching his knee during the game.

At Germany training on Wednesday, Ozil did not participate with the rest of the squad, with the 29-year-old only able to do fitness and conditioning work.
