Bookmaker give £50,000 to Russian LGBT causes after hosts romp past Saudi Arabia
Bookmaker paid out big time after promising £10k for every Russian goal scored... hosts won 5-0 in their World Cup opener
A BOOKMAKER has donated £50,000 to fight homophobia in football after Russia’s 5-0 win over Saudi Arabia.
The World Cup hosts romped to victory in the opening game of the tournament on Thursday.
And their win means LGBT organisations in the country will be getting a big cash boost.
Paddy Power revealed they would be paying out £10,000 for every goal scored by the Russians.
And the bookmaker announced the news with a picture of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
But the image then changes to him with dyed pink hair, pink lipstick and rainbow eye liner.

The statement read: “Thanks to that goal we’ve paid £10,000 to help tackle homophobia in football.”
The payout is being done in conjunction with Attitude magazine’s Foundation.
And £10k will continue to be paid out for every Russian goal scored during the entire length of their World Cup adventure.
Own goals also count, but penalty shootouts will be excluded.
