MOROCCO'S medical team has left people scratching their heads with a bizarre attempt to treat an apparent concussion.
Watford ace Nordin Amrabat, 31, took a blow to the head during his side's defeat to Iran.
And after being led to the sidelines, viewers were left bemused as he was sprayed in the face with water.
More bizarrely, Amrabat was then repeatedly slapped in the face for his troubles.
He wanted to return to the action but was replaced by little brother Sofyan, 21, after 78 minutes.
After the incident, tweeted: "Morocco’s 16 should be straight off for a suspected concussion assessment.
"Head to ground, possible tonic posturing, groggy & disoriented. Many signs.
"A bit of a slap and a bag of ice on his head sitting on the sideline is not going to do the trick. ".
While “Morocco's physios trying to knock the concussion out of Amrabat ”.
“Safe to say Morocco’s concussion protocol needs a little work. Don’t think slapping Amrabat in the face and spraying him with water will do the trick.
The game ended in disaster for Morocco as Aziz Bouhaddouz headed into his own net to give Iran a 1-0 win.
