World Cup 2018 betting tips: Timo Werner backed to lead champions Germany to easy win
RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner looks set to step into the shoes of Thomas Muller as Germany's leading man
ENTER the champions.
Germany take on Mexico in the 4pm kick-off on Sunday and we're expecting free-scoring Timo Werner to have brought his shooting boots.
Mexico have only conceded three goals in their last four games but only taken one win, against Scotland.
So we're backing Werner to get the only goal of the game in a simple 1-0 win for the Germans, with
offering odds of 22/1.
The 2014 champions still have free-scoring Thomas Muller in their ranks, though.
Bayern Munich's man is always a danger on the pitch, so a 1-0 win and Muller to score can get you 25/1.
It will be the first game of the tournament for Joachim Low's team in Group F.

Their lead up to the tournament was far from ideal, however, as Germany's 2-1 win over Saudi Arabia was their first in 2018.
Low's team have suffered defeats to Brazil and Austria this year as well as drawing against Spain.
Germany should still ease into the knockout stages though.
They face Sweden in their second group game on Saturday before coming up against South Korea on June 27.
