White van man mocked by Labour MP Emily Thornberry backing England in World Cup with flag display
WHITE van man Dan Ware is backing the Three Lions with a flag display that even Labour MP Emily Thornberry could get behind.
The dad-of-four, 40, inadvertently caused the resignation of the then-Shadow Attorney General in 2014 when she made a sneering remark on Twitter about a flag on the front of his house.
Thornberry tweeted a picture of his terraced home complete with three England flags and his white van.
She had tweeted a photo of the car dealer’s white van on the drive under the caption: “Image from #Rochester.”
Thornberry was criticised across the political spectrum for sneering at working class voters.
Dan said: “I will never forget how insulting Emily Thornberry was to me and Britain’s working class voters when she tweeted a picture of my house in 2014.
“It confirms Labour is run by the upper classes - out of touch with everyone apart from the croissant-munching Islington elite.”
Now he has five flags draped over his home in Rochester, Kent, as well as some on his BMW.
